I voted for [name]Maxwell[/name]. It isn’t pretentious or trendy like most of the other choices. [name]Maxwell[/name] is handsome and versatile, although I have to say I’m not opposed to [name]Max[/name] as a full name.
[name]Maximus[/name] is a favorite of mine, and was one of the top 3 names we were considering for my son. I also like [name]Maxim[/name] (more common where I live).
I voted [name]Maxwell[/name] after much debating, I don’t really like any long form of [name]Max[/name] although I do like [name]Max[/name] on it’s own
My vote was for [name]Maxim[/name], but due to the men’s magazine, I prefer the spelling [name]Maksim[/name]. Like the guy from Dancing with the Stars.
Everyone - Thanks so much for your vote and replies. They are really making me think about which one is my favorite. I see that [name]Maxwell[/name] has the lead by far. I just can’t seem to let some of the others go like [name]Maximilian[/name] and [name]Maximus[/name]. I’ll admit that [name]Maximo[/name] and Maxlen are not favorites of mine. I just wanted to see if others might like them.
sapphires - I did not know about [name]Maxence[/name]. That is a great long form for [name]Max[/name]. I am a little afraid that people would not get the pronunciation right. We are not French and the (hypothetical) baby would have a Spanish last name.
sparrowfinch - I think [name]Maximilian[/name] is one of my favorites. I love The [name]Count[/name] of [name]Monte[/name] Cristo ([name]Maximilien[/name]).
mischa - Thanks. I forgot about [name]Maxfield[/name]. I’ll have to add it to the list.
niteowl13 - I like [name]Maksim[/name] also. I was worried about the men’s magazine, [name]Maxim[/name].
