What is your impression of the name [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]? What combo ideas would you suggest? Is [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] a frilly sounding name to you?
Isabel is frilly without being overly fussy. It’s pretty
I know a girl on my softball team named [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], but she prefers going by her last name’s initial. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] isn’t frilly to me, but [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] might be more so.
These days my impression is that it’s really nice but a rather too common/ popular
I love the name, to me it just sounds really good and I feel like it ages really well.
I do prefer the spelling [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] but that’s personal preference
Isabel is one of my absolute favourites - I’m so in love with it and it’s a timeless classic. I would combine it with:
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Amari[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel [name_f]Eden[/name_f]
[name_f] Isabel[/name_f] [name_f] Anais[/name_f]
[name_f] Isabel[/name_f] [name_f] Christine[/name_f]
[name_f] Isabel[/name_f] [name_f] London[/name_f]
[name_f] Isabel[/name_f] [name_f] Chiara[/name_f]
[name_f] Isabel[/name_f] [name_f] Margaux[/name_f]
[name_f] Isabel[/name_f] [name_f] Marlowe[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]! I find it very feminine, but not frilly. ([name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is more frilly to me.)
This is my preferred form of the name. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is paired down but still sweet and feminine. The popularity is deserved but to me a little off putting.
I like it. It’s very clean and tailored. I don’t find it frilly at all but it’s still very feminine. I prefer the spelling [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] because it feels spunkier, though [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is truly classic.
Isabel is a very pretty name, it’s feminine and has a nice ring to it. Unfortunately, though, [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] got so popular in the last 15ish years (here in the U.S. where I am) that while it isn’t the same name - it’s still close enough that it doesn’t feel unique. The popularity of [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] started quite awhile ago and yet it was still #5 in 2019! It’s lovely but too close to be appreciated, in my opinion.
Isabel or [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] are lovely.
They are unfortunately rather commonly used where I live.
I like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_u]Adair[/name_u].
It sounds lacy to me, but that is not a bad thing.
I’ve always loved the name Isabel, although my favourite spelling is Isobel. Isabel is my second favourite and I don’t find it too frilly, especially not with either of the spellings mentioned. Isabelle is a little more so. To bring honest, my only issue with Isabel is its popularity!
