What is your nickname?

[name_m]Rustie[/name_m] from my hair colour, [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] (my brother’s nickname for me for some unknown reason) and [name_f]Annie[/name_f] (easier to pronounce than Agnetha).

As a child I was called [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] by just about everyone but ended up hating it, so I’m just [name_f]Rose[/name_f] now. However I go mostly by Rainia online (made this profile before I came up with that handle), so [name_u]Rai[/name_u] (pronounced [name_u]Rae[/name_u]), [name_u]Rain[/name_u] and [name_u]Rainy[/name_u] are all nicknames I’ve been called at some point and I love them. Also used to get called “cupcake” after what I had on the jerseys we all wore when finishing school and we could put whatever we wanted on the back.

My name is [name_u]Lyndsey[/name_u], my main nickname is [name_u]Lyn[/name_u] or Lynnie [name_u]Lou[/name_u], [name_u]Lou[/name_u], and Lynley. I mainly go by my middle name [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but only a few can call me [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. I have a few who called me Rosebud or Mountain [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

From my name: [name_f]Kat[/name_f] by my family ssns in kindergarten, [name_f]Kitty[/name_f] at work, [name_f]Katie[/name_f] sometimes when I was very little, [name_f]Kathy[/name_f] from grades 1-5. In grade 6, I wanted to transition from [name_f]Kathy[/name_f] to [name_f]Katey[/name_f], then in high school to [name_f]Kate[/name_f], but that didn’t work. I grew up in a town as big as my thumb, so training former classmates to go from [name_f]Kathy[/name_f] to [name_f]Katey[/name_f] was impossible, and [name_f]Kate[/name_f] never happened for me (sigh). I mostly went as [name_f]Kat[/name_f] in high school, and am [name_f]Kat[/name_f] for the most part now, unless I’m in trouble. Mothers never stop using your full name when they’re mad, no matter how old you get. But my dad used to call me Cupcake, [name_f]Katie[/name_f] Cupcake, and now calls me [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f]. That’s where [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f] in my signature comes from, and also where Ketevan comes from. It’s the Georgian version of my name, and I wanted to pass on the nicknames [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_f]Katie[/name_f] without being too obvious.
