What kind of person fits this name?

[name_m]Just[/name_m] out of curiosity what kind of person do you picture a girl named [name_f]Grace[/name_f]? Anything from looks and personality to the kind of person she would grow up to be.

I imagine a sweet, gentle, and positive person with a beautiful laugh who would be very patient and accepting of others.

I can’t really say, since I have known so many Graces, the name doesn’t carry a sense of distinct personality to me.

I picture a quiet, studious girl that keeps to herself and loves to read. [name_m]Long[/name_m] thin strawberry blond hair that she wears pulled back, fair skin, freckles, tall and lanky. She will become a professor or librarian.

I have two students named Grace this year. They are pretty different, which I think means Grace can fit anyone. I would say they are both very kind and always have friends around them, as they are very sociable.

I have ironic associations with it. Like the tough working class mom from [name_f]Grace[/name_f] Under [name_m]Fire[/name_m]. Or [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] from Miss Congeniality. People who aren’t really graceful but mostly strong and tough.

I was going to say the same thing

I lovelovelove [name_f]Grace[/name_f]! I’m currently writing a novel (okay, technically on hiatus from writing the novel, thanks to other things going on in my life right now, but it’s never far from my mind!) with a [name_f]Grace[/name_f] in it, so my view of a [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is influenced by her, a [name_f]Grace[/name_f] I read about in a novel once, and what I imagine my own daughter might be like one day. I envision her to have whispy blond hair, a megawatt grin that could bring warlords to their feet, an infectious little giggle, who loves swinging on the tree swing in the back yard and playing with her dolls (and her baby brother like he is one of her dolls). She loves to try to play piano duets with mama, and is always begging to be taught a new song on the piano. She has a heart of gold, full of compassion and kindness, but is afraid to step out and try new things and go after the things her heart really longs for. She’s quiet. Sometimes reserved within herself. Her favorite color is purple and she loves wearing dresses, especially as she grows up and has discovered herself. She generally can be found with her head in a book (her favorite is [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u]'s Persuasion) or playing the piano. She also likes to cook. She’s one of the best girls around, but some people just don’t see it because she’s so quiet. She loves babies and learning new things and helping those around her.

I’m a [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and I’m probably closest to can90’s description. I describe myself as quiet, kind, and very smart and studious. My friends say I fit the definition of the word “graceful”

That said, I have also known [name_f]Grace[/name_f]'s that are the polar opposite of me! Considering we name babies before we know what their personalities will be like, it’s hard to know how they’ll grow into a name. I have always loved my name and think it would be a beautiful choice for a daughter!
