Confession: I am not good at boy names. :o There’s a chance that we may be able to adopt our foster son, in which case we would change his name (he’s very young and is a “[name_m]Junior[/name_m]”, so we think it would work out just fine.) Although it’s never been at the top of my list, [name_m]Aaron[/name_m] keeps coming to mind. So, what middle name for [name_m]Aaron[/name_m]?
I like classic boy names ([name_m]Joshua[/name_m], [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], and [name_m]David[/name_m] have come to mind), but I do like some more unusual boy names too ([name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m], etc.)
These names are OUT for us: [name_m]Robert[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
Big sisters would be [name_f]Rachael[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] ([name_f]Milly[/name_f]).
[name_m]Aaron[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] has a nice flow.
Maybe you could use his actual first name or middle name as [name_m]Aaron[/name_m] middle name. Maybe he’s too little now to notice, but his past is his past, and maybe he would like to keep something from it.
We have considered that, and may use his given name as a second middle name. However, given the things that his dad was just released from prison for…we’re not thrilled about keeping his name as part of baby’s name. The debate continues…
And what about a version of his first or middle name? For example, if his name is [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], it could be [name_m]Aaron[/name_m] [name_m]Sean[/name_m], [name_m]Aaron[/name_m] [name_m]Ian[/name_m], [name_m]Aaron[/name_m] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]…
Inclined to agree with undertherainbow on this one. There has been a lot of discussion on this site and most adoptees tend to say that it’s better to keep a part of the child’s name, move it to the middle spot or whatever. Then when your child is older he can decide for himself whether he wants to retain that part of his name. His feelings are going to be the most important on the matter, not anyone else’s.
[name_m]Aaron[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] and [name_m]Aaron[/name_m] [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] are my favourite from what you have listed. [name_m]Aaron[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] is nice too.
