[name_f]Temperance[/name_f]
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]
any suggestions?
Well just waiting around for our baby girl to come and still can’t figure out her name…
What name do you like?
[name_f]Nyla[/name_f]
[name_f]Temperance[/name_f]
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]
any suggestions?
[name_f]Nyla[/name_f] - Brings to mind Nylon and the lion king (the name is similar, but not the same).
[name_f]Temperance[/name_f] - This is probably my favorite, but it is a heavy word name to wear.
[name_u]Linden[/name_u] - The most wearable, I think.
Have you considered any of these?
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Constance[/name_f]
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_f]Adalin[/name_f]
Madelin
[name_f]Marin[/name_f]
[name_f]Nyla[/name_f]- My daughter went to preschool with a [name_f]Nyla[/name_f]. While she was a nice girl, I couldn’t help but think of either Nylon or Nylabone (type of dog bone) whenever I heard her name on the playground.
[name_f]Temperance[/name_f]- A little too wordy and heavy for my tastes.
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]- I love [name_u]Linden[/name_u]! I think it’s something that can really grow with a girl. [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] is an adorable nickname too.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] but can not use it same with [name_f]Constance[/name_f] , [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and Madelin… I like [name_f]Isla[/name_f] but hubby does’nt. But thanks for trying!! We keep hoping we will see her face and just know!
Thanks!! I must say [name_u]Linden[/name_u] is my favorite. I like the nick name [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] too. But I also like the nick name [name_f]Tempe[/name_f]!
carleywill, I thought the same thing about the Nylabone! My dog loves his, ha.
I wasn’t sure how I felt about [name_u]Linden[/name_u] at first, but now that the nickname [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] was brought up, I think that’s adorable!
Thanks for the honesty !!! I don’t want are little girl named after a dog bone!
I love [name_f]Nyla[/name_f], although I want to use it as a middle name. It’s so pretty and unusual, and not overly popular, without being too weird. I’ve never heard of Nylabone, but I live in [name_f]England[/name_f], and maybe it might be more well known elsewhere?
I think [name_f]Nyla[/name_f] is the best out of them, but personally, I don’t think I would use any of them.
[name_u]Linden[/name_u] is pretty cute and different. I think [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] is adorable!! What about just [name_f]Lindy[/name_f]?!
[name_u]Linden[/name_u] is my favorite.
I honestly don’t love any of them. Of them, I like [name_f]Nyla[/name_f] the most, but I hear Nylon too.
[name_f]Temperance[/name_f] is much too heavy for my tastes.
[name_u]Linden[/name_u] is ok. Reminds me of [name_u]London[/name_u] and Linen.
Other ideas:
[name_u]Lindsay[/name_u], [name_u]London[/name_u], [name_f]Natalya[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nyla[/name_f], [name_f]Amity[/name_f], [name_f]Juno[/name_f].
that’s a tough one, I’m not really wild about any of them.
I think I’d go with [name_u]Linden[/name_u] of those choices. [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] is super adorable!
[name_f]Nyla[/name_f] makes me think of Nylon, so not a good association.
[name_f]Temperance[/name_f] is a virtue name that makes me think of prohibition and alcohol use. A bit heavy, and is it really a virtue that you want a kid to have? Also, is there a nickname that could work for this?
[name_u]Linden[/name_u] sounds like [name_m]Lyndon[/name_m] B. [name_m]Johnson[/name_m], but once I get past that, I do like it. I vote for this one as best.
[name_f]Nyla[/name_f] - Like others, I think of dog bones. What about [name_f]Isla[/name_f]?
[name_f]Temperance[/name_f] - I think it’s actually a pretty word, but the meaning is too heavy. If you’re going to use a word/virtue name, it should be something symbolic to you.
[name_u]Linden[/name_u] - My first thought was [name_m]Lyndon[/name_m] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m]. It sounds like an old man name to me. What about [name_f]Linnea[/name_f]?
I prefer [name_f]Nyla[/name_f]. I like its sound and meaning. [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] is too wordy for me while [name_u]Linden[/name_u] is too surname-y.
I love [name_f]Nyla[/name_f]. I don’t get nylon when I say or hear it. I have known quite a few Nylas and they’ve never gotten that comparison. I do think lion king, but not enough to be a deal breaker.
[name_f]Temperance[/name_f] is cute. But I see it as a middle name. Maybe [name_f]Nyla[/name_f] [name_f]Temperance[/name_f].
[name_u]Linden[/name_u] is all boy to me. While it is a lovely name, I just don’t see girl.
Good luck a d congrats!!
Definitely the beautiful [name_u]Linden[/name_u], it is one of my favourites. A beautiful choice.
rollo
[name_f]Temperance[/name_f] is a heavy virtue name, but I get Linen or Lindenhurst from [name_u]Linden[/name_u] and Nylon from [name_f]Nyla[/name_f]. Actually I think I’ve heard of a restaurant named [name_f]Nyla[/name_f] as well.
ETA: Per Google, Britney Spears’s defunct restaurant was called Nyla.
