What names can I get nn "Wynnie" from?

I am starting to love the nn [name]Wynnie[/name]/[name]Winnie[/name] for our baby girl. What names do you think could pull off this nn?

ty

[name]Winsome[/name] (my fav)

I think the most obvious ones have been posted already but there’s also:

I definitely don’t like it on girls, but [name]Rowan[/name] works. There’s also [name]Rowena[/name]/[name]Rowina[/name] and Malwina (though they’re technically pronounced roe-WEE-na and mal-VEE-na).

Some of these only work of you pronounce ‘wen’ and ‘wyn’ the same. I don’t, but some accents do. My favorites are:

[name]Hi[/name] cute nickname!

I have a friend called [name]Winnie[/name] whose real name is Ceinwen, it’s a Welsh name. The ‘win’ sound isn’t really in there but it still works. Other similar names are [name]Anwen[/name] (my favourite! Means very pretty too!), [name]Olwen[/name], [name]Bronwen[/name], [name]Branwen[/name], Hafwen, Heulwen (pronounced [name]HALE[/name]-wen, means sunshine!) and [name]Arianwen[/name]. Also wanna throw Gwenno out there cos I love it!

The other suggestions are great too  Best of luck!

I really love the name [name]Wynne[/name]. [name]Winifred[/name] is a nice option too.

I like Aowyn

You could get [name]Winnie[/name] from [name]Winslow[/name]. [name]Winslow[/name] is a guilty pleasure name of mine for a girl. I just love its whimsical feel! Nameberry only lists [name]Winslow[/name] as a boy’s name, but I can see [name]Winslow[/name] on a girl. Not sure if you want to name your daughter a unisex name, though. I myself usually like really feminine girls’ names (that aren’t unisex), but I can’t help but love [name]Winslow[/name] for a girl. Go figure! Best of luck to you, and sorry if I wasn’t much help! The other berries have given you some great suggestions, though!

I don’t think [name]Wilhelmina[/name] has been mentioned yet… I’ve thought about using [name]Wilhelmina[/name] nn [name]Winnie[/name] myself in the future.

Good [name]Luck[/name]!
