What names did you love as a kid?

i cleaned out my closet today and found some old notebooks, which inspired me to make this topic! what are the names that you loved as a kid - the names you used in stories, the names you wanted to be called, or the names you wanted to use for your own kids someday?

personally, i remember being really obsessed with the names Poppaea and Persephone in elementary school, and also with the name Maisie-Jane (though i thought it was spelled Mazie). i also loved the name Maris after the edge chronicles! in third grade, every girl wanted to be Zoe or Maya.

in fifth grade, there were three people with the same name as me in my class, so i decided that my own kids would have completely unique names. i briefly wanted to have a boy and two girls named Kepler, Kemi, and Kessadee (not sure where those came from), or a daughter named Pomegranate, which i reasoned could be nicknamed to Meg. luckily my tastes have changed!

I remember being in elementary school and being dead set on having two girls. [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] and [name_f]Savannah[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] style has definitely changed, but I get such a warm, nostalgic, feeling thinking back to the names.

As a child I loved [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] & Narie (like [name_u]Marie[/name_u] with an n) I had dolls named [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] and Narie with a stuffed toy dog being called [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]. I still like [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] & [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] but they are not favourites.

As a teenager I loved for boys [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], [name_u]Connor[/name_u], [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] and [name_u]Riley[/name_u] as for girls I really liked [name_f]Jolie[/name_f], [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. Currently I still really absolutely love [name_u]Noah[/name_u] & [name_f]Rose[/name_f] the rest I’m indifferent aside from [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u] I dislike that name.

I know that I was always really into the name [name_f]Amber[/name_f] when I was in grade school. There was a really cool older girl at my school called that, so I’m sure that had something to do with it. And I loved [name_u]Austin[/name_u] for a boy. [name_f]Amber[/name_f] & [name_u]Austin[/name_u] for siblings! I still think that [name_u]Austin[/name_u] is really cute, but not sure if I like [name_f]Amber[/name_f] anymore.
