We are expecting boy #3 and haven’t decided on a name yet. The sibling names are [name]Drake[/name] and [name]Zane[/name]. We want a name that is not too long, not overly popular, strong, cool, that stands on it’s own as well as with the sibling names. We have considered [name]Blaise[/name], [name]Grant[/name], and [name]Griffin[/name]. What do you think about those names, and are there others that you think might work?
I don’t know when your sons were born, but in 2008 [name]Drake[/name] was @ 230 on the SSA top 1000 list, and [name]Zane[/name] was @ 235. So I’m going to stick with something that is close to those with my suggestions. ([name]Griffin[/name] is 242, [name]Blaise[/name] was 992 in 2007 - not on the list in 2008, and [name]Grant[/name] is 142)
[name]Roman[/name] (205)
[name]Lincoln[/name] (212)
[name]Dalton[/name] (218)
[name]Jude[/name] (224)
[name]Zion[/name] (232)
[name]Kingston[/name] (239)
[name]Corbin[/name] (262)
[name]Brock[/name] (277)
*[name]EDIT[/name] - Duh! I forgot to tell you my favorites!
[name]Blaise[/name]
[name]Dalton[/name]
[name]Jude[/name]
[name]Corbin[/name]
Also, I don’t feel that any of these names are trendy or over-popular (with the exception of [name]Lincoln[/name]… maybe).
[name]Zane[/name], [name]Drake[/name], and…
[name]Quincy[/name]
[name]Lennon[/name]
[name]Gage[/name]
[name]Calder[/name]
[name]Eames[/name]
[name]Ford[/name]
[name]Kiefer[/name]
[name]Penn[/name]
[name]Beau[/name]
[name]Dallas[/name]
[name]Clancy[/name]
[name]Asher[/name]
[name]Boaz[/name]
[name]Ezra[/name]
[name]Jude[/name]
[name]Simeon[/name]
[name]Willem[/name]
[name]Jex[/name]
[name]Ronan[/name]
[name]Poe[/name]
[name]Eros[/name]
[name]Jet[/name]
[name]March[/name]
[name]Cannon[/name]
[name]Field[/name]
[name]Dane[/name] (too close to [name]Drake[/name]?)
[name]Chan[/name]
I think that [name]Blaise[/name], [name]Grant[/name], and [name]Griffin[/name] are all very handsome. [name]Blaise[/name] has the long A of [name]Drake[/name] and [name]Zane[/name], as well as [name]Zane[/name]'s z sound, so I’m not sure if this is too similar for you.
I think that [name]Grant[/name] works really well with [name]Drake[/name] and [name]Zane[/name].
I love [name]Griffin[/name], but I can better see one of the other names with your sons’ names.
I picture something very masculine and strong:
[name]Archer[/name]
[name]Jude[/name] (this may have been suggested…oops!)
[name]Pierce[/name]
[name]Reed[/name]
[name]Vaughn[/name]
[name]Wilder[/name]
Good luck!
I l.o.v.e. [name]Pierce[/name] and [name]Vaughn[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are very strong, cool names! I will second [name]Jill[/name]'s suggestion of those two!
[name]Zane[/name], [name]Drake[/name] and
I really like pp’s suggestions of [name]Gage[/name], [name]Vaughn[/name] and [name]Pierce[/name]. Also,
[name]Tate[/name]
[name]Burke[/name]
[name]Roarke[/name]
[name]Keane[/name]
[name]Chase[/name]
[name]Cruz[/name]
[name]Wyatt[/name]
[name]Hudson[/name]
[name]Holden[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name]
[name]Reid[/name]
[name]Blair[/name]
[name]Todd[/name]
[name]Austin[/name]
[name]Owen[/name]
[name]Parker[/name]
[name]Payden[/name]
[name]Noah[/name]
[name]Kyler[/name]
Ashen
I like a lot of the suggestions on this page. When I saw the title, prior to reading any of the posts, for some reason the first two names that came to mind were [name]Nico[/name] and [name]Jesse[/name]. I like [name]Roman[/name], [name]Vaughn[/name], [name]Griffin[/name], and [name]Poe[/name], as well.
I love the name [name]Rex[/name] for a little boy and I think it goes well with [name]Zane[/name] and [name]Drake[/name] (they’re all one syllable and masculine).
From the other suggestions here, [name]Pierce[/name] and [name]Vaughn[/name] are great for the same reasons
[name]Zane[/name] and [name]Drake[/name] are great names! Here are some I think might go:
[name]Blaze[/name]
[name]Brock[/name] - might be too close to [name]Drake[/name]
[name]Case[/name]
[name]Cash[/name]
[name]Colt[/name]
[name]Gage[/name]
[name]Jett[/name]
[name]Keane[/name]
[name]Mack[/name]
[name]Rex[/name]
[name]Rider[/name]/[name]Ryder[/name] - doesn’t go with your one syllable pattern though
[name]Stone[/name]
I think [name]Zane[/name], [name]Drake[/name] and [name]Case[/name] sounds good. It keeps your long A pattern as well as the one syllable.
I also like [name]Zane[/name], [name]Drake[/name] and [name]Jett[/name] together. All three seem very manly to me.
[name]Hi[/name],
[name]Zane[/name] and [name]Drake[/name] are neat names. Strong, mono-syllabic, masculine, and creative. [name]Zane[/name] has an old west feel and [name]Drake[/name] is both nature-like and a bit rakish. Also they both have a long “A” sound. I’d avoid a third name with a long “A” sound so it won’t sound silly when you call them all to dinner. Try names with a similar style, but with two syllables and a different stressed vowel, like [name]Cody[/name], [name]Wyatt[/name], [name]Marshall[/name], or [name]Autry[/name] in the cowboy family; or Thicket, [name]Talon[/name], [name]Arrow[/name] (maybe those are a bit far out) or [name]River[/name]. Or try [name]Jasper[/name]–it’s both nature-like AND cowboy-like! Best wishes.
