I don’t know about you, but I’ve got serious baby fever and have had a lot of dreams in the past year about having babies! Sometimes the names I pick in my dreams are pretty surprising.
Once I dreamt I had twins, although one was born several hours after the first, and the boy’s name was [name_u]Michael[/name_u]. I can’t remember what I named the girl. I hadn’t even considered the name [name_u]Michael[/name_u]…it’s a nice name but it’s my ex-boss’s name (which is probably why I dreamt about it haha) and I’ve just met so many Michaels, so I wouldn’t consider using it.
In another dream, my child looked about 3 years old and he was talking and everything, but he was supposedly a baby. In the dream I realized that the name we had picked for him didn’t suit him at all, so I started suggesting other names for him and he didn’t like any of them. Finally, I suggested the name [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] (which is funny because I really don’t like it) and he didn’t like that one either. Then I said, “[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]?” and he said, “Yes, that’s it! I’m a [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]!” Hahaha…so random. [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is a nice name too but I hadn’t been considering it at all.
Dreams are pretty crazy! What names have you chosen in your dreams?
When I was pregnant with my son, sometimes I would have dreams about him. In every single dream about him his name was [name_u]Max[/name_u]! We had already picked the name [name_u]Jameson[/name_u], so I have no idea where that was coming from. I asked hubby if he like [name_u]Max[/name_u], he said no, and that was that. Though I do think it would’ve been sweet to name him the same name I dreamt he had!
I also had a lot of dreams where he was a newborn but in actuality he was a toddler already. In one he was [name_f]Asian[/name_f] and 2 right after he was born (Neither DH or I are [name_f]Asian[/name_f]) and that was pretty strange lol. In one dream I didn’t know I had a kid and had left him in the car I guess! Again, a toddler. It was awful. Dreams are so weird!
My brother was named [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] because my father had a dream shortly before he was born that he was holding a little boy in his arms and he kept calling him [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m].
Luckily, they hadn’t picked out any names yet so they settled on [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Christian[/name_m] N******n
[name_m]Callen[/name_m]. I assume I must have been watching NCIS: LA, but I was on the beach shouting this little blond surfer toddler called [name_m]Callen[/name_m].
I had a dream where I took a pregnancy test and it read [name_m]Marco[/name_m] lol! Though I don’t see myself naming my child this. It’s not my style : )
When I was pregnant with my second, I had a dream that I had a boy named [name_u]Jay[/name_u]. [name_u]Jay[/name_u] is the name of my great uncle that recently passed away. I have thought of using it but it is not quite hubby and my style. Maybe as a middle? We’ll see.
I’ve told this story on here a million times, but several years ago I had a coworker who was not talking babies or ttc and I randomly dreamed she gave birth to a little boy named [name_u]Zen[/name_u] (which was also random since this was not even on my name radar). Months later she found out she was pregnant. She had a little boy and because of the dream gave him the middle name of [name_u]Zen[/name_u]. [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] [name_u]Zen[/name_u].
When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had a dream that I had a boy named [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m]. I kind of like the name, but my fiance has a cousin named [name_m]Immanuel[/name_m].
