My son [name]Dyson[/name] is a little over 14 months old and I am currently just under 6 months pregnant. We have decided to wait until out baby is born this time to find out his/her gender (last time the ultrasound lady was WRONG twice and we ended up having to return/exchange a lot of really cute gifts).
We found out [name]Dyson[/name] was in fact a boy at eight months and me & my DH both agreed on his name instantly it was just so perfect. This time around we are stumped because [name]Dyson[/name] was both of our favorite boys name (how rare is that!). We have some ideas for if it is a girl but no clue with boys. We do like the idea of the names “matching-ish” or maybe sibset sounding.
Not like [name]Dyson[/name] & [name]Dylan[/name] or [name]Dyson[/name] & [name]Tyson[/name] but just with maybe a similar feeling, sound, or style.
[name]Dyson[/name] is an English surname. [name]Kirby[/name] is from an English surname and [name]Hoover[/name] is (I think) a variant of the [name]German[/name] [name]Huber[/name]. All three are typically surnames that fit in with the surname-as-first-name trend. [name]Hoover[/name] also has the Presidential name thing going on, without being [name]Lincoln[/name] or [name]Kennedy[/name].
In my opinion, the predominant letter in ‘[name]Dyson[/name]’ is Y, so a name containing a Y would go together without being to obviously ‘matchy matchy’. Also because [name]Dyson[/name] is english, a name with the same origin would suit it well. I included some names with these characteristics as well as others I think go well with [name]Dyson[/name].
I too instantly thought of the popular vacuum, but I also did not see that you already had a child with the name. I can understand your frustration. With that being said, here are my suggestions…
[name]Dyson[/name] and [name]Holden[/name]
[name]Dyson[/name] and [name]Flynn[/name]
[name]Dyson[/name] and [name]Simon[/name]
[name]Dyson[/name] and [name]Sterling[/name]
[name]Dyson[/name] and [name]Fletcher[/name]
[name]Dyson[/name] and [name]Cohen[/name]
[name]Dyson[/name] and [name]Kellan[/name]
I’m sorry if you felt as though I insulted your son. However, I never said anything about him other than his name is of English origins. I wasn’t the only person to suggest [name]Kirby[/name] so if you want to be upset with people mocking your sons name, please direct your anger towards others as well.
I really like morgan6’s suggestion of [name]Kelby[/name].
Oh I love [name]Dyson[/name]!! There is a character named [name]Dyson[/name] on a tv show that I watch and he is very handsome and he shape shifts into a wolf. It sounds like a rugged, manly name to me. So, I don’t automatically think of the vacuum. Wow, those comments were mean!
