I took the Name DNA quiz on here and a few lines from my results did pretty accurately describe what we’ve been looking for:

We are trying to find a name for our second son and are having a hard time seeing anything that even looks worthy if being added to the list.
[name_f]My[/name_f] husband isn’t exactly helpful, either.
But, we tend to gravitate towards names that are traditional or old-fashioned, but uncommon. I like things a little out there and unexpected, but unexpected in the sense of “oh I’ve never considered that name before” or “you don’t meet many kids with that name”, not unexpected in a “totally made up and misspelled” way. If that makes sense.
Definitely don’t want anything too popular, but some of our current top contenders are in the 170-ish range I think. Preferably at least out of the top 100, but if it is more popular we would consider it as long as it isn’t trendy and going to feel dated. I see a lot of people say they don’t want a name that will give away what year their child was born, and I totally agree.
I had a pretty long list of names that were a little too out there for my husband’s taste, but some we have both liked but not decided on:

Husband threw out [name_m]Bernard[/name_m] and totally surprised me. Maybe as a middle but I don’t like the possibility of [name_u]Bernie[/name_u] jokes.
I love [name_u]Francis[/name_u] as a middle name but he hates it.
I unintentionally seem to like surnames as first names, but that is not a prerequisite at all. [name_m]Just[/name_m] lost suggestions I throw out my husband says aren’t first names or he works with someone who has that last name.
Help. We are so all over the place.

I like [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] and [name_u]Griffin[/name_u]. I LOVE [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] but my husband laughs at me. It has grown on me so much. I just think it’s old school but unexpected, and also sweet and precious. But could also age well.
[name_u]Florian[/name_u], [name_m]Whittaker[/name_m], and [name_m]Winfield[/name_m] are three I’ve loved and husband has vetoed. 
Still trying to sway him on one of them.
