What names would you style with Eve?

What names would you put in a sibset with Eve?

[name]Heidi[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Margot[/name]
[name]Tali[/name]
[name]Sylvie[/name]
[name]Celia[/name]
[name]Faye[/name]

[name]Noelle[/name]… You could get [name]Nelly[/name] out of it.
[name]Annette[/name] sounds like something your husband might like (maybe)… And [name]Annie[/name] as a nn.

Or…
[name]Lana[/name]
[name]Rita[/name]
[name]Faith[/name]
[name]Grace[/name]
[name]Helena[/name]
[name]Mae[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Celeste[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Ingrid[/name]
[name]Audra[/name]
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Maren[/name]
[name]Rose[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name]
[name]Blanche[/name]

You seem to like names that feel a little old Hollywood to me… Sophisticated, sometimes a little exotic, but not over-the-top.

First of all, [name]Eve[/name] is amazing - I adore it! I think these names are good complements to [name]Eve[/name]:

[name]Sylvia[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Flora[/name]
[name]Judith[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name]

I tend to like sib-sets where each sibling has a name that is similar in length and or syllables.
Since [name]Eve[/name] is very short most of my suggestions will be equally short.

[name]Mae[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Claire[/name]
[name]Lilith[/name] (Though this might be a little odd since [name]Lilith[/name] is sometimes considered to have been [name]Adam[/name]'s first wife)
[name]Fleur[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Dove[/name] (I like the -ve spelling that combines both but that they are pronounced so differently).
[name]Zoe[/name]
[name]Viola[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]

Some less common V names:

[name]Alva[/name] (“elf”)
[name]Aravis[/name] (Narnian princess)
[name]Aveline[/name] (hazelnut)
[name]Averill[/name] (variant of Everild, an English saint)
Beneve (French name, perhaps modern coinage, from “to do good”)
[name]Davina[/name] (Scottish feminine form of [name]David[/name])
[name]Devon[/name] (County [name]Devon[/name], [name]England[/name])
[name]Flavia[/name] (golden, old [name]Roman[/name] name)
[name]Geneva[/name] (city; takes its name from the juniper berry)
[name]Jovana[/name] (Serbian form of [name]Jane[/name])
Ketevan (Georgian form of [name]Katherine[/name], an ancient [name]Christian[/name] queen)
Livian (from Livius, old [name]Roman[/name] patronymic)
Novara (“new air” in Italian, also a city)
[name]Octavia[/name] (the eighth)
Pallavi (Sanskrit for “new leaves,” perfect for a springtime baby)
[name]Ravenna[/name] (placename from the lovely Italian city)
Salvatrice (in honor of [name]Christ[/name], “the Savior”)
Savera (modern [name]Indian[/name] [Hindi] name meaning “new beginning, morning”)
[name]Silvana[/name] (of the forest)
Stavroula (in honor of [name]Christ[/name], “the [name]Cross[/name]”)
Sunniva (“sun gift”)
[name]Vanora[/name] (Scottish diminutive of [name]Guinevere[/name])
[name]Verona[/name] (as in Two Gentleman Of)
Verveine (the French form of Verbana, the holy herb / ‘herb of grace’)

I love how you worded that bit about your husband, mine sounds so similar! He loves [name]Emily[/name], [name]Zoe[/name] and also [name]Elissa[/name]- we have agreed on [name]Eliza[/name] for our first daughter thankfully!
I think we have a similar style, this is what my girls list looks like:
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Nora[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Stella[/name]
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Freya[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Edith[/name]
[name]Adeline[/name]
My hubby also likes [name]Leonie[/name]- we might use this as a middle name!
Good luck, I think [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Iris[/name] go particularly well together as a PP suggested

Instead of [name]Emily[/name], what about:
[name]Emme[/name]
[name]Esme[/name]
[name]Melly[/name]
[name]Mila[/name]
[name]Ella[/name]
[name]Elle[/name]
[name]Eleri[/name]
[name]Emilia[/name] or [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name]

Instead of [name]Kathleen[/name], what about:
[name]Kate[/name]
[name]Katya[/name]
[name]Kara[/name]
[name]Thalia[/name]
[name]Thea[/name]
[name]Lena[/name]
[name]Lainie[/name]
[name]Lana[/name]
[name]Kerenza[/name]
[name]Karina[/name]
Ekatarina
[name]Arlene[/name] / [name]Darlene[/name] / [name]Charlene[/name] or [name]Aileen[/name] / [name]Eileen[/name]

[name]Love[/name] the previous suggestions of [name]Alice[/name], [name]Rose[/name], [name]Sylvie[/name], and [name]Fleur[/name]. Other suggestions to go with [name]Eve[/name] (some short and classic, some Old Hollywood, some granny chic):
[name]Lyra[/name]
[name]Aria[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name] (although you have a [name]Caspian[/name], so some may hear the [name]Narnia[/name] connection right off)
[name]Monet[/name]
[name]Cora[/name]
[name]Stella[/name]
[name]Anya[/name]
[name]Ora[/name] (I love that this means so many different things depending on the language. [name]Gold[/name] in Spanish, seacoast in English, and a form of [name]Aura[/name] in Greek)
[name]Olivia[/name]
Nessarose (Wicked reference, and you liked [name]Vanessa[/name])
[name]Willow[/name]
[name]Petra[/name]
[name]Cleo[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Mavis[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name] or [name]Opal[/name] or [name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Iola[/name]
[name]Agnes[/name] (just not pronounced the American way!)
[name]Phyllis[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name]
[name]Letitia[/name] nn [name]Lacey[/name] or [name]Letty[/name]
[name]Lavinia[/name]
[name]Marguerite[/name], with all the host of nn options you would get with [name]Margaret[/name]…I just like the French spelling and pronunciation better
[name]Antoinette[/name] for your [name]Annie[/name] nn

I have to say, I love Ellowyn, especially with nn [name]Winnie[/name]!

Old Hollywood names with an EE sound (disclaimer–I don’t love the sounds of every one of these for you, and I don’t necessarily think they all fit in the sibset. This list is mostly in the interest of brainstorming):
[name]Audrey[/name] (Hepburn)
[name]Lucille[/name] (Ball)
[name]Natalie[/name] ([name]Wood[/name])
[name]Sophia[/name] ([name]Loren[/name])
[name]Greer[/name] ([name]Garson[/name])
[name]Lillian[/name] ([name]Gish[/name])

[name]Louise[/name] ([name]Brooks[/name])
[name]Dorothy[/name] ([name]Day[/name])

[name]Theda[/name] ([name]Bara[/name]) - born [name]Theodosia[/name]
[name]Colleen[/name] ([name]Moore[/name])

"Goes with ‘[name]Eve[/name]’ " + “Old Hollywood” =
[name]AVA[/name]

may I also suggest:
[name]ADA[/name]
– [name]Ava[/name]'s brainy sister.

I do think that list included a lot of names that were popular at the time but would be found mostly on the elder generation now. I actually love [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name], but definitely not a [name]Judy[/name] fan. Preference for OO and EE sounds, and no [name]Mar[/name]- names. Got it!

Ooh, medieval steampunk!! This will be fun!

The first name I think of when I hear steampunk is [name]Agatha[/name], pretty much solely because of the Girl Genius comic! It doesn’t seem to fit your criteria though…most steampunk names tend to be pretty consonant heavey. Here are some others:
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Araminta[/name]
[name]Minerva[/name]
[name]Lucinda[/name]
[name]Lyra[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Elspeth[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Tabitha[/name]
[name]Aurinda[/name]
[name]Ophelia[/name] (my current crush)
[name]Sophronia[/name]
[name]Philomena[/name]
[name]Lavinia[/name]
[name]Letitia[/name] nn [name]Lacey[/name]
[name]Odessa[/name]
[name]Theodora[/name]
[name]Wilhelmina[/name]
[name]Octavia[/name]
[name]Zenobia[/name]
[name]Artemis[/name]
Celosia
[name]Drusilla[/name]
Fleurdelis
[name]Rhiannon[/name]
Tourmaline
[name]Serafina[/name]
[name]Ursula[/name]

Medieval names tend to be more traditional in my opinion, but there are some unique gems! I’m sure you know all about the Catherines and Elizabeths and [name]Marys[/name], so I will lean towards the medieval fantasy end of things in my suggestions:
[name]Rowena[/name]
[name]Melisande[/name]
[name]Guinevere[/name]
[name]Isolde[/name]
Bellicent
[name]Rosalinde[/name]
[name]Eglantine[/name]
Celestria
Wulfwyn
[name]Anastasia[/name]
Nimue
[name]Vivian[/name]
Morgause
Igraine
[name]Avalon[/name] ([name]LOVE[/name] THIS on a sister for [name]Eve[/name]!)
[name]Melusine[/name]

This is difficult…I, too, have a hard time with girls’ names, and I haven’t even named a daughter yet! And other posters have made some great suggestions. But I wanted to put in a good word for [name]Una[/name]; I really like it, as you know, and I think that stylistically it works very well with [name]Eve[/name].
A few others from my favorites list which I don’t think have been mentioned yet, trying to keep in mind the EE and OO sounds:

[name]Ardith[/name] (no EE or OO, but I think it would be lovely with [name]Eve[/name].)
[name]Carolina[/name] (you could pronounce it Car-o-[name]LEE[/name]-na)
[name]Delia[/name]
[name]Eulalia[/name]
[name]Moira[/name] (see [name]Ardith[/name])
[name]Susanna[/name]

Best of luck!

I think I get where he’s coming from. I looked up “traditional names” and found a list of “old-fashioned” names (from the forties, so not really!), and all but three of his picks are on this list! It sounds like he wants something traditional, comfortable, and familiar, with a history behind it…nothing that sounds modern or made up or trendy in any way. This is somewhat surprising, because I remember your boys’ names, and they are definitely not traditional!

The only reason I can think of for [name]Daphne[/name] being “normal” is that anyone who was around for Scooby-Doo is going to be familiar with the name!

Here’s another list, this time of traditional, established names, favoring EE and OO sounds and avoiding Ma- prefixes:
[name]Lily[/name]
[name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Sophia[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name]
[name]June[/name]
[name]Holly[/name]
[name]Naomi[/name]
[name]Valerie[/name]
[name]Leah[/name]
[name]Arianna[/name] (Since you both like [name]Aria[/name])
[name]Chloe[/name]
[name]Rhea[/name]
[name]Julia[/name]
[name]Luella[/name] (Because he likes [name]Luna[/name] and you like Ellowyn)
[name]Melody[/name]
[name]Alicia[/name]
[name]Irene[/name]
[name]Ruth[/name] (instead of [name]Ruby[/name]?)
[name]Nina[/name]
[name]Elise[/name]
[name]Amy[/name]
[name]Molly[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name]

some ‘normal’ ones imo

[name]Bianca[/name]
[name]Jane[/name]
[name]Zoe[/name]
[name]Ramona[/name]
[name]Heidi[/name]
[name]Esther[/name] nn [name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Jillian[/name]
[name]Wynn[/name] ([name]Winnie[/name])
[name]Coralie[/name]
[name]Hana[/name]
