For me it’s Liluna
My top unusable girl name would probably be [name_f]Chrysanthemum[/name_f]. The fact that it’s unusual doesn’t bother me, and I adore its pretentiousness and exaggerated femininity but, in terms of phonetics and general appeal, it’s a bit… much. Other over the top choices: Delphinium, Hippolyta, [name_f]Victoriana[/name_f] and [name_f]Walburga[/name_f].
I actually quite like [name_u]Sailor[/name_u] but yeah…
I love [name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f], [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], Eilonwy and [name_f]Tigerlily[/name_f], but… a bit too unusual for me to use. I would maybe use [name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f] as a middle name, just maybe.
I adore [name_u]Story[/name_u]. It has special meaning and would honor my late grandma and late mom. I’ve had [name_u]Story[/name_u] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] ([name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] honoring my late sister) on my list for a long time.
Valkyrie, [name_f]Medeia[/name_f], Belladonna, Pompeia, Cadmium, Evangelise, and Arsinoë are my too unusual favourites (pretty much in order of preference).
[name_f]Serenade[/name_f] for a girl is my fave GP
My sister’s name is [name_u]Saylor[/name_u] and we get tons of compliments with people saying that it is stunning and never heard before. Only one time did someone dislike it.
[name_u]Morley[/name_u]. [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]. [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] (for a girl).
i think [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] is usable
[name_u]Sailor[/name_u], Felias, Bent
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], Tomke, [name_f]Kiana[/name_f]
[name_f]Kalypso[/name_f]!!! Like the Greek goddess, but with a K. I love the way it sounds, and the nickname [name_f]Kaly[/name_f] (pronounced like [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] or [name_f]Callie[/name_f]) is cute. But I have a feeling that if I used it, people would think it was strange. And it’s sure to get misspelled/pronounced more often than not, which really irks me. But I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it!!!
Lately, I’ve been loving [name_u]Echo[/name_u] but I’d still use it if I was having a baby right now. I’ve adored [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f], [name_f]Aoife[/name_f], [name_m]Eoghan[/name_m], and [name_m]Ruairi[/name_m] for such a long time but they are too far out there sadly.
Agreed. I love this name from the book.
“Lullaby “[name_f]Lula[/name_f]”, [name_f]Lavender[/name_f], [name_u]November[/name_u], [name_f]Welcome[/name_f], [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f]”
I love these. Also I’m using Tzipporah! I think it’s definitely usable
I love this name too
That’s beautiful! Why did you take it off your list?
My most “usable” unusable name is [name_u]Vesper[/name_u]. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it but there’s the [name_m]Bond[/name_m] connection, the religious aspect, and the fact that it’s close to an old sanitary products brand name.
My others all tend to be just a bit too [name_m]OTT[/name_m] for real life use in rural [name_f]England[/name_f]:
[name_f]Tigerlily[/name_f]
[name_f]Madelief[/name_f]
[name_f]Apolline[/name_f]
[name_f]Capucine[/name_f]
[name_f]Endellion[/name_f]
[name_f]Antigone[/name_f]
[name_f]Demelza[/name_f]
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
[name_f]Arianell[/name_f]
Pipaluk
[name_f]Tempest[/name_f]
Larkspur
Snapdragon…
I’m sure there are many more!
[name_f]Corisande[/name_f] ([name_f]Cora[/name_f] as nickname) or [name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f]
Vanilla for me
