Hi everyone!
Recently, I’ve fallen back in love with Kate - a name that I used to adore but fell to the wayside after a while (meaning, I met lots of Caitlins and got “name fatigue”.
However, I realised just why I loved her so much: her gorgeous crisp sound, her classic feel, her elegance, and her ability to pack a punch in merely four letters and one syllable.
I’m now starting to feel that Kate and Caitlin are very different names in look and sound and vibe, so knowing quite a few Caitlin’s doesn’t bother me any more.
Kate by itself is lovely, and my love for it is starting to be renewed.
Anyway, enough about me - what about you? What names did you used to love that you’ve recently fallen back in love with?

Right now for me I think it’s [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], & [name_f]Ruby[/name_f]!

[name_f]Amber[/name_f]! I used to love using it for my sims (always used my favorite names) but then it lost its spark until recently an [name_f]Amber[/name_f] made me love the name [name_f]Amber[/name_f] again!

[name_m]Noah[/name_m] & [name_m]Noach[/name_m] - he was one of my first name loves. I never stopped liking it, but it became so popular after a while that it lost its spark. Recently I realized just what a great name it is anyway: I love the sound, it looks so soft, and the meaning is perfect.

[name_m]Felix[/name_m] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] – love the bright, spiky sounds and the happy meaning

[name_f]Kate[/name_f] is gorgeous
For me it’s [name_f]Carmen[/name_f] for girls I used to really love [name_f]Carmen[/name_f] I thought she was glamorous, full of warmth evoking imagery surrounding sunny European coastal towns and feels so unexpected. [name_f]Carmen[/name_f] has lovely nature meaning which is great. However she sort of fell off my wavelength but now I’ve completely fallen back in love.
For boys it’s [name_m]Robin[/name_m]! He never disappeared completely however he’s really shining brightly for me now. Beforehand he didn’t meet the criteria that I felt I needed however now that isn’t a factor and I think [name_m]Robin[/name_m] is adorable. Sweet, cheerful, outdoorsy and classic.

For girls; [name_f]Lolita[/name_f], it know totally unusable in RL but I just LOVE this name, & always have, I find it so pretty & the NN options are great. I hate that one book has made this unusable. Then again I keep thinking that any children born now wouldn’t necessarily understand the reference so maybe it could be used. Also if [name_m]Adolph[/name_m] can make it back in the charts why not [name_f]Lolita[/name_f]?

For boys: [name_m]Isildur[/name_m] has quickly become a favourite again lately, not that it ever disappeared just is faded into the background to other names whereas now it’s climbing back up the ranks. I just find it so charming, a little out there but not to the point I think it’s unusable either.

Those are lovely! I’ve beginning to appreciate [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] a lot more lately. [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is sweet, but I could never use her - too similar to my beloved [name_f]Jillian[/name_f]!

That’s lovely! I like it when nice people with certain names can make us really like a name again

[name_m]Noah[/name_m] is great name! I think popularity matters less if you really love a name.
Yes!! They have such lovely meanings, and I love the zippiness of the x in both of them.

[name_f]Carmen[/name_f] is stunning! Your imagery for it is spot-on. It was a name I used to love before I got into names, so I have a soft spot for [name_f]Carmen[/name_f] even though I haven’t thought about it in ages.
[name_m]Robin[/name_m] is gorgeous! I’d say one of my favourite gender neutral names, even though I’m more inclined towards it on a girl (the actress [name_m]Robin[/name_m] [name_m]Tunney[/name_m] definitely influenced this). It’s very handsome on a boy!

[name_m]Adolph[/name_m] has made it back into the charts???
I’m not sure how pervasive the literary association for [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] would be amongst kids a hypothetical child would be going to school with but I do feel that the association would still be too strong to use due to the intensity and nature of the subject matter. It’s not the same, but how about just [name_f]Lola[/name_f]?
[name_m]Isildur[/name_m] is very interesting! I’ve never heard that name before.
When I was a very young child I was dead set on naming my daughter [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], but for ages after that it wasn’t really my style (for ages I was into very classic names). However, recently I’ve started really liking it again (although I prefer the spelling Clio) and now it reminds me so much of my childhood which I really love!!
[name_f]Kate[/name_f] is sweet
I’ve recently become reattached to:
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] and [name_f]Romy[/name_f] → it’s not that I went off them exactly, but they sort of got put on the backburner. Now, I’m loving them both again, for that warm, bubbly feel and stylish vibe, Also thinking of [name_f]Romy[/name_f] as a unisex name?
[name_f]Ebba[/name_f] → I met one ages ago, and thought it was so cool, bright and interesting and distinctive. Then I got put off as there’s somewhere near me with ‘Ebba’ in the name that sort of made me hesitate because I feel like people around me might only have heard it in that context - but then I remembered I’m not having kids, so why not have it on a hypothetical list
[name_f]Delaney[/name_f] → an old love from years ago, that I kept seeing called trendy but I love nicknames [name_f]Della[/name_f], [name_m]Dell[/name_m] and [name_f]Laney[/name_f], so who cares if it’s trendy
[name_f]Elsinore[/name_f] → someone reminded me of it, and I love that Shakespearean vibe
[name_f]Saffron[/name_f] → @Rosebeth reminded me of it!

i’ve fallen back for [name_m]Colin[/name_m]!
I didn’t think he fit on my list, but he totally does <3

i’ve always loved flora and i’ve had her in my UC for years now, but recently i’ve been thinking about her all the time!! she’s just such a sweet name, and i love how international she is
the lack of nicknames used to be a small barrier for me, but i’ve recently warmed up to flora ‘lola’, which made me appreciate her more too!
as for the boys, i go back and forth with being absolutely obsessed with nikola every few months
Thankfully for this hypothetical child’s sake I’m done having kids given mine are 16 & 15 so no child will actually be called [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] but in my fantasy world I’d definitely call my future daughter this without any backlash/issues surrounding the name lol.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]! there was a time where these names kind of got weeded out of my list, but I’m seeing their sparkle again now!
Aww this popped up at just the right time!
Recently I’ve been falling back in love with darling [name_f]Olive[/name_f], a name I’ve loved since I was young but somehow I went off her a bit. Yay for [name_f]Olive[/name_f]!
