I really like your list! My favorites, however, are [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], and [name_f]Viviana[/name_f], with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] following closely.
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]: The first thing I think of is a sophisticated, charming young woman. This name has a youthfulness to it, but is also very refined. The pros are that it is classic, feminine, beautiful, international, and stylish, and the only con I can think of is popularity: It’s top 100 in the US, but far, far popular elsewhere.
[name_f]Juliana[/name_f]: I don’t love [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] the way I love [name_f]Julia[/name_f]. I prefer the sleekness of [name_f]Julia[/name_f], where the extra syllable of [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] doesn’t appeal to me. That said, this name does make me think of passion and brightness.
[name_u]Julie[/name_u]: This name conjures images of middle age for me. I find it quite dated, and prefer the other variants.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]: Boldness, literature, and passion. I adore this name, and I don’t find that it’s too closely associated with the play at this point in time.
[name_f]Leilani[/name_f]: This name gives me laid-back, serene vibes. I think it’s very sweet, although I don’t love the sound as much as some of your other favorites.
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]: This name is sweet and tailored, although I don’t find it as stylish as some of the other picks on your list.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]: A colorful, vivd, lovely classic. My only qualm is that it is skyrocketing in popularity on this site due to the vintage revival theme.
[name_f]Viviana[/name_f]: I love this so much. I immediately think of life and youth.
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] - my first association is [name_f]Julia[/name_f] from the book 1984. Otherwise, a safe, but bouncy sounding name. I think it has the benefit of sounding lively and cute on a kid and mature on an adult
[name_f]Juliana[/name_f] - my first association is the character from the Aspern Papers and also someone I know in real life. I like the grandeur of the name and how it has lots of nickname options
[name_u]Julie[/name_u] - [name_u]Julie[/name_u] feels a little bland, I prefer [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] - first association is [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. It’s a lovely name - feels both classic but also fresh
[name_f]Leilani[/name_f] - [name_f]Leilani[/name_f] is pretty and it has a really pretty meaning! It does sound very Hawaiian (not a bad thing) but that may raise questions if you don’t have any Hawaiian heritage
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] - sweet and lively sounding - [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is a pretty and bright name
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - vintage and charming - it feels polished, but I do confess I sometimes see violent when I glance at it quickly - not really a deal breaker though
[name_f]Viviana[/name_f] - [name_f]Viviana[/name_f] is lovely - I love the rhythm and the sounds
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]: A beautiful name and as a pp said, refined. It is classically feminine, but not frilly.
[name_f]Juliana[/name_f]: my first thought? Spelled wrong, but that is only because this is my name, except that I have two n’s, a nearly equally used alternative spelling. I’m obviously biased, but I love my name and wouldn’t want any other. Might be a bit more frilly than [name_f]Julia[/name_f].
[name_u]Julie[/name_u]: comes off as a nickname to me, though I know it is its own formal name. See above bias.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]: lovely name. I don’t think of the play, but of Psych’s [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] O’[name_f]Hara[/name_f], a wonderful namesake. Classy.
[name_f]Leilani[/name_f]: someone of Hawaiian descent. A beautiful ethnic name that I wish I could use, but don’t feel right doing so.
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]: tailored, sweet, great alternative to [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. Lively.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]: classic, sophisticated
[name_f]Viviana[/name_f]: Also beautiful and full of lifely flow. Makes me think of [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. Classic, upper class
This is what comes to mind for the parents of a daughter named these:
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]: You’re boring.
[name_f]Juliana[/name_f]: You’re boring, and you live in [name_m]New[/name_m] [name_f]England[/name_f].
[name_u]Julie[/name_u]: You’re [name_f]Asian[/name_f].
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]: You’re trying too hard.
[name_f]Leilani[/name_f]: You’re Latino.
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]: You only eat organic food, and you buy wooden blocks exclusively.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]: You’re boring, but you think you’re not.
[name_f]Viviana[/name_f]: [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] wasn’t feminine enough for you.
