What’s your thoughts on name Hamilton

Is it too synonymous with the play and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m].

I do think it’s too associated with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m]. That, and it starts with [name_m]Ham[/name_m].

Yes to both as well as [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m]. Still usable but you would be getting assumptions that you used the name because of those associations.

Definitely a bit brave and associated to [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] but I actually think this one’s usable. It makes me think of [name_m]Ham[/name_m] from The Sandlot, and the [name_m]Ham[/name_m] part doesn’t through me off cause I’ve known multiple people named/nicknames it

I think it’s highly associated with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], yes. However, as a surname name, I think it would work and be lovely for a child whose family had [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] as a surname somewhere along the family tree. Maybe a middle name?

I personally can only think of the play and historical figure, but I guess it’s not unusable. I’d assume the parents of a [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] were American patriots on the extreme end of the spectrum, though.

Reminds me of a Hotel

it reminds me of nascar racing

I know a man with a last name very close to [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] and everyone calls him Hammy. I think that may be difficult to avoid and may very likely become a nickname when he’s a bit older. It would be great in the middle spot.

I think you would get that association, and the musical mentioned at least

I don’t love it…:frowning:

[name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m].
And there’s a million things I haven’t done,
But just you wait, just you wait!

I think it is too associated with [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m], and for those who do not have the association, just pigs in general. The first syllable is relatively unpleasing, sorry!

[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought is the play, which I haven’t even seen, and I think that is a very big association. I don’t have the ham association as much though because I pronounce the word ham a bit different to the start of [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m].

[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m].

It’s my former surname and people didn’t bring up [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] to me.

I know a boy named [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] and it didn’t strike me as strange when I heard it. I actually didn’t notice the “ham” part, just the association with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m], and I wouldn’t be surprised if his parents were inspired by the musical because of his age.

it very much reminds me of alexander hamilton but has a cool surname-y feel!

As a huge fan of [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] (f1 driver), I think it’s awesome. I didn’t thought of the play at all.
