I picked [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], just because it’s the most common spelling, and most likely to be spelled correctly (and pronounced! I would say [name_u]Roan[/name_u] as RONE, not ROW-ahn). I’m not a fan of [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] on a girl–it’s very high on my boys’ list–but [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] also has the added benefit of being a tree name and an actual noun, so [name_u]Rowen[/name_u]/[name_u]Roan[/name_u] seems a bit odd to me for that reason–it always struck me as odd when people spell noun names how the noun isn’t actually spelled ([name_f]Lilly[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Lily[/name_f], Autumne instead of [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], Olyve instead of [name_f]Olive[/name_f], etc.).

Otherwise, I really have no preference. I do find it interesting that you find [name_u]Roan[/name_u] more graceful and beautiful, though, as I find it much more masculine and strong. Maybe that’s just me, though?

Sincerely, [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] is the most common spelling of this name. Easier for the kid in the future.
However, [name_u]Roan[/name_u] is way more charming and I think you should go with this one. [name_u]ROAN[/name_u]!

I agree with [name_u]Ash[/name_u], I prefer [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] mainly because it’s easier to spell and pronounce. [name_u]Roan[/name_u] I would pronounce Rone like the color, and [name_u]Rowen[/name_u], though it does feel more feminine to me would be destined to be misspelled.

[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. I generally prefer a’s over e’s in names, and I say [name_u]Roan[/name_u] differently from [name_u]Rowan[/name_u].

I love [name_u]Roan[/name_u]!
