When I’m being good about my workout regimen, it’s 6:30. Hubs is 7:30 unless I’ve talked him into exercising with me. I split the difference at 7.
No kids.
Edited to add: I cannot even describe how LIFE-CHANGING a regular sleep/wake cycle has been for me. I feel my very best when I get up at the same time every day. Going to bed at the same time is even better, but it doesn’t even seem necessary. My body looovves routine.
I usually get up at 7am, but because I have been sick lately, I’ve been getting up around 8am instead. So I voted for both 7 and 8am. Also, I don’t have kids.
I am extraordinarily jealous of all of you! LOL! I get up at 5am. School (I am a teacher) starts at 7am!!! I love watching the sunrise during 1st period!
[name]EDIT[/name]: I should add I have no biological children, but do look after 122 kids every day
When working in the hospital-- between 3:30 and 4:45, depending on the rotation. Sometimes I have to be in by four, sometimes not till 5:30. Then those beautiful 30-hr shifts; usually try to go home by noon the next day but it doesn’t always happen.
In research-- 6:30. No nights, no weekends, no holidays. It’s excellent.
My husband works from about 2pm till 10pm so he usually stays up pretty late. A couple days ago he was complaining about the street noise outside that woke him up around 8:30. He wanted me to call and complain about the noise because it was before nine. I laughed at him and told him most people are up by six in the morning. He wouldn’t believe me. Now I get up between 5:30 and 6:30 because I have a 3 year old and a 3 month old who function as very insistent alarm clocks, but even left to sleep I’m usually up by 7:30. My husband on the other hand would gladly sleep till noon.
It really depends on my daughter, who is a pretty awful sleeper! On a good day, she wakes up at 6:00am, so I voted for that. But usually she’s awake between 5:00am and 6:00am.
If I had no kids and it were up to me, I’d probably get up closer to 7:00, which sounds heavenly to me right now!
It depends on my mood and when I start working. Mostly either 5 am (long run along the [name]Thames[/name] and homemade breakfast days) or 8 am (snuggle in bed and listening to the radio days). Sundays I guess between 10 and 12 am. My boyfriend gets up at 7 or 8 am when he’s working.
I’m supposed to get up at 6:30-6:45 (depending on the day), but I sometimes don’t get up til 7:40! It depends on how much I want breakfast, lol.
I have a 9am class 3x a week, and I live over 30 miles from my school. My mom drives me partway and I take the bus for the rest. It takes over an hour. Sometimes I take the bus from school to the stop closest to my house. It takes about and hour and 15 minutes (if it’s on schedule), and another 15 or so minutes to get home.
I usually get up around 7am. I’m in my third trimester, though, and have leg pains that sometimes cause me to get around 5 or 6 instead. 8am is when I’ve noticed that construction often starts and is also a time when apartment managments seem to begin maintenance like mowing the lawn, so I don’t think that’s too early at all.
Well, [name]Monday[/name]-[name]Wednesday[/name] I get up at 7 because it takes me awhile to get up and get ready and I open my class (yoga) at 9. Thursday and Friday its usually 10 because I don’t start class until noon. On the weekends it depends on when the girls wake up and how tired I am.
When I was a teacher I was up by 5 or 5:30 so I could get to work and have peace and quiet to start the day. I was not a morning person at all but I was motivated by having to share a tiny office with 6 people and having students constantly knocking on the door. During the summer or when I could choose when to get up it would probably be 8 or 9am.
However now that we have kids all that has changed. I don’t remember the last time I slept past 6! [name]One[/name] of my sons likes to wake up between 4:45 and 5:30 so that is my usual wake up time now. I can’t wait to pay him back for it in high school!
No kids and a uni student, which basically means I get up when I have to if I’ve got a morning lecture, which usually means getting up an hour and a half before my lecture starts. On days off or when I’m not in til the afternoon I don’t tend to get up until about 10, sometimes later, especially if I’ve been out the night before or up late for some reason.
My husband likes to get up at the crack of dawn, 6 or so. So, when [name]Rowan[/name] gets up around 7:30 he takes her and lets me sleep in until 8 or 9. I don’t like going to bed super early, so 8-9 is my ideal time to wake up. But when he had a job that required him to be there at 8:30, I woke up when [name]Rowan[/name] did. For some reason, I think my brain is hard wired to stay up late… so I have issues with getting enough sleep.
