So, I’m working on a story and need some help naming characters… thanks!
1.) Main character-- She’s a 14-year-old girl, the daughter of a teen mom. She has a learning disability. She goes to a public school and her family doesn’t have much money. Her best friend is [name]Florence[/name] “[name]Wren[/name]” [name]Jennings[/name]. She has mouse brown hair and green eyes.
2.) The main character’s mom. She had her daughter at 16 and is now 30 years old. She is generally a good mom, but gets very stressed out. Her parents were mentally ill and she doesn’t have much money. She has brown hair and
brown eyes.

[name]Florence[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] “[name]Wren[/name]” [name]Jennings[/name]: 13 years old, main character’s best friend, has spent her whole life in foster homes, but is thinking she has found “the one.” Very kind, clever, helpful, and smart. Has red hair and green eyes.

Not to be stereotypical or anything, but from what I’ve seen of the Teen Mom tv show I’ve established that teen mums tend to give popular, somewhat trendy names to their children. So I’d go back to look at the stats from the late 90s and go with maybe a top 50 name from there for the daughter.

I agree that it should be something trendy for the daughter…I like girlychock’s suggestions of [name]Amanda[/name], [name]Kyra[/name], and [name]Alexis[/name]…maybe something with a youneek spelling?? I will give more thought to this later.
