What to tname a princess?

Hey,
I’m in the process of planning a story and I’ve got all other character names sorted out except the main. She is a stubborn one to name as nothing I give her fits!

Basically in my story, she the daughter of a chief who is the polar opposite to everyone else in their region. He pillages but prefers not to kill. He is more concerned about the safety of his people rather than expansion of the kingdom.

I imagine her as a short fiery character with dark chocolate curls and turquoise eyes. She is intelligent and tries to help everyone no matter who they are; everyone is treated the same by her.

Her parents are the current leaders of her small nation - they are named [name_m]Amzi[/name_m] and [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] ([name_f]Freda[/name_f]), she has 6 older siblings named: [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] ([name_f]Willa[/name_f]), [name_m]Julius[/name_m], [name_m]Octavius[/name_m] and [name_m]Tiberius[/name_m].

Her best friends are [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] and [name_f]Cassiopeia[/name_f].

I have so far thought of using:
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Esperanza[/name_f]

I also want something different for [name_m]Albert[/name_m] and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] as they don’t seem to fit like the rest of the names. Update - Albert has been changed to Maximilian.

I prefer something unusual yet fairly simple to pronounce. Nothing made up or used for other main characters in novels please.

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you want English sounding names, [name_m]Roman[/name_m] sounding names, what…? It sounds like you’re writing for a made up world/made up group of people, but a little background or history of their naming styles would help greatly. Like [name_f]Cassiopeia[/name_f] is Greek, but [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f] is Spanish. My advice would be to pick a nationality and stick with it when naming characters from a certain group, otherwise it doesn’t make much sense to the reader, and it makes it harder to see where your characters fit in in their world.

Either way, here are some names of various origin:

[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f]
[name_f]Alessandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Mara[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandrina[/name_f]
[name_f]Arianwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Aeliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Cyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Arria[/name_f]
[name_f]Gaia[/name_f]
[name_f]Brenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Marella[/name_f]

[name_f]Angeline[/name_f], [name_f]Bria[/name_f], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], [name_f]Marcella[/name_f], [name_f]Morgana[/name_f], [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f], [name_f]Rena[/name_f]

Thanks vestigesofthesummer and whitefeather01.

The story I’m writing is about a made-up world, which I haven’t picked the name of. There is a high influence of Italian/Spanish/[name_m]French[/name_m] (romantic languages), Scandinavian, [name_m]Roman[/name_m], Greek, Eastern European and Germanic names.

Preferably her name would be something quite long and shortened to a few nicknames - one for her family and one for her friends.

Her surname is Ozola which means oak tree.

This is the only info we needed from the start! Lol.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about changing [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] to [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m]?

For the main character, some ideas:
