Hello, berries. Back at it again with more book ideas. They never stop…
[name_f][/name_f]I need a name for my main character. The story is kind of a slice-of-life, about two teenagers who are twins, suddenly moving from home and having to create new friends, and just basically the ups and downs of teenagehood.
[name_f][/name_f]I’ve decided that the girl’s name will be [name_f]Marlene[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. She’ll go by the nickname [name_f]Marley[/name_f] in the book, however. [name_f]Marley[/name_f] is honestly one of my favourite girl names, and I might have to steal it for real.
[name_f][/name_f]The problem is with the boy’s name. I really, really love the name [name_m]James[/name_m]. If I went with that, his full name would be [name_m]James[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. [name_m]Handsome[/name_m] and strong, but not agressive. The issue is, I feel like [name_m]James[/name_m] is kind of almost…uptight, in a sense? I love the name, and to me it doesn’t feel like that, but I’ve had feedback from some other people.
[name_f][/name_f]He’s supposed to be like a light in the story. Sweet, gentle, charming. One of the loudest kids in the room, personality bright and wild, you hear him before you see him. Despite it he’s a genuine nice guy, kind of has an ego, but he’s witty and fun. Oh, and constantly getting into trouble. Dentions galore.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Do[/name_f] you think a character like that would fit the name [name_m]James[/name_m]? Does it match Marlene/Marley? [name_f]Or[/name_f] should I go with something else? (P.S. [name_f][/name_f]- their last name has the word ‘Love’ in it, if it helps.)
