I thought this might be kind of fun! My parents had an interesting list of names for me. They ended up with [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] M@rlena, but I was almost [name_f]Emily[/name_f] or [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]. If I was a boy I would have been [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]. [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] is so not the same style as [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f], and [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]!

My parents thought [name_u]Penny[/name_u] (I am a red head) would be cute but it is not their style. I was adopted as a newborn, my birth family has a Scottish background, so they wanted to give me a Scottish name. It was a very thoughtful gesturer. [name_m]Just[/name_m] like them.
I was almost [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f], though my mother was leaning more towards [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. In the end, she decided on [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] instead. (My father didn’t provide much input so my mom pretty much had free reign to name me whatever she pleased.)
If I had been a boy, I would have been [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] or [name_u]Reed[/name_u]. I think [name_u]Sam[/name_u] was also being considered.
My mom liked [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Salome[/name_f], which made me really mad because she ended up giving me a name I hate whereas I love [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
And my dad liked [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Angelica[/name_f]
My mom says she didn’t think I’d be a boy so she never actually picked a boy’s name. She had my actual name picked out since childhood but she did consider [name_u]Alexis[/name_u]. My grandmother wanted to name me [name_u]Love[/name_u].

I was nearly [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Rochelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Marissa[/name_f] or [name_f]Melissa[/name_f]. Thankfully, my mom chose something else 
If I had been a boy, I likely would’ve been [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], which was my mom’s top boy combo but she never got to use it. She also liked the name [name_m]Chad[/name_m]. That’s all I really know.
I was almost [name_f]Marina[/name_f] [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] or [name_u]Lindsey[/name_u] [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f], or [name_u]Cody[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] as a boy!
I was almost [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] or [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]. I was named [name_f]Kayla[/name_f] instead. If I had been a boy, I would have been [name_u]Bradley[/name_u].
On my parents list, there was [name_f]Celia[/name_f] and [name_u]Peyton[/name_u], which I MUCH prefer to the name they gave me. [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. Had I been born a male, I would probably be [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].
I was almost a [name_u]Lindsay[/name_u] (very glad they didn’t name me that.) If I’d been a boy, I would have been [name_u]Max[/name_u] or [name_m]Ethan[/name_m].

Interestingly my parent’s were very set on my birth first name [name_f]Paige[/name_f], but there was a lot of argument about my middle name. My father wanted [name_f]Erin[/name_f], my mother wanted [name_f]Ebbony[/name_f] xD
I would’ve been [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] if I was a boy.
When I changed my name, I also had my parents choose, there were a lot more lenient with unusual names then: from a list I had, my father chose [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], and my mother chose [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] (which my dad suggested by re-spelt as [name_f]Sundae[/name_f]) [name_f]Every[/name_f] thankful for name berries for suggesting [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] for my list <3 its a lovely name and its grown to suit me very well.
My mom wanted to name me [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], but my dad insisted that I be named after one of his cousins (& more than half a century later my mom has still never forgiven him for it). [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is my middle name, though…not surprising as when I was born girls basically had either [name_f]Anne[/name_f] or [name_f]Marie[/name_f] as middle names & nothing else.
My name is [name_f]Miranda[/name_f], but my mom wanted [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] or [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], and my dad wanted [name_f]Danielle[/name_f].

I was almost [name_m]Dewey[/name_m] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], but (thankfully) they decided on [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] after a great aunt. [name_m]Dewey[/name_m] was purely considered because I was conceived on a trip to the beach in Delaware, which is way too much information for me to know. Thanks, mom.
I don’t know what I would have been were I a boy, but I know my mom considered [name_u]Morgan[/name_u]. Ended up with [name_f]Chelsee[/name_f]. I don’t like either. lol
My parents considered [name_f]Petra[/name_f], but my dad said no xD. So they went with [name_f]Elena[/name_f], and honestly I am so glad they did because [name_f]Petra[/name_f] is currently 2nd most popular name in my country so I know like 100 [name_f]Petra[/name_f]'s, whereas I have only met one [name_f]Elena[/name_f] in my life. Also I have a little cousin whose name is [name_f]Petra[/name_f] and it suits her so well so I’m glad my parents didn’t go with [name_f]Petra[/name_f].
