I can’t think of a lot. [name]Abigail[/name] was my [name]FAVORITE[/name] name when I was little and it’s really popular now. I don’t know how popular it was when I was little, though, but I was sure I would name my daughter that! I still love it but it’s soooo popular. And I have always had a thing for [name]Eliza[/name] but now it seems to be everywhere. Same thing for [name]Emmeline[/name] but it’s obviously not that popular… it’s not even on the SSA list but I hear everyone talking about it and it’s just not as special anymore. When I first heard [name]Isabella[/name] in 2005 I thought it was the most amazing name ever, haha. I thought it was virtually unknown. Apparently it wasn’t, and it definitely isn’t now! I used to love [name]Claire[/name], too, and now it’s pretty popular too.
Most of my favorite names arent too popular

I was set on [name]Isabella[/name] or [name]Isabelle[/name] for yeeears but now it’s so overused it’s sad.
I think [name]Lily[/name] is the only one I really loved that ended up becoming suddenly popular. I still have it on my list as a potential middle name though.
For years, I loved [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name], but both have shot up in popularity.
[name]Lila[/name], and [name]Elodie[/name] at least online is too talked about!
[name]Olivia[/name]! Such an awesome name- I’ve loved it since the 90s, when it was not very popular. Now it’s everywhere.
My name is [name]Sheena[/name] [name]Austin[/name] (and a huge last name with three syllables that no one was ever able to pronounce). I love my name. [name]Sheena[/name] is simple people can read it and write very easily, it’s feminine and a little nod to my Scottish heritage. [name]Austin[/name] was my mothers maiden name and I always love the romance of [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name], and the boyish flare. The biggest reason why I loved my name so much was because next to no one had it growing up. Easy to pronounce, people could spell it, and it is a nice name.
My sister was named [name]Robin[/name] [name]Lynn[/name]. She loves her name. Boyish but she was always the only [name]Robin[/name] in her school. We talk about our names and our hopes for our children and their names, we always say we hope they love their names as much as we do.
I’m an [name]Olivia[/name] born in the 90s. I’m glad I was born when I was though, because it’s not very popular for my age group - I’m one of two Olivias in my school of over 1500 pupils (compared to 36 Jessicas and 28 Hannahs). I always smile smuggly whenever I see an [name]Olivia[/name] under 4 - I just can’t help myself!
[name]Milena[/name] (nn [name]Mila[/name]) used to be high on my lists – but it’s rising popularity is a little disheartening. I love that more people are seeing the name for the gem that it is, but it has lost some of the luster that drew me to it initially.
[name]Henry[/name] I always thought he would be the one that was deemed ‘too old’ to name a baby, but alas, it is not so. On the bright side, though, maybe he’ll be less popular in 5+ years, when I’m actually married and ready to have babies
Yes! I second the frustration concerning [name]Henry[/name]. It’s a family name, so I might use it despite the recent surge in popularity, but I’m less excited about it now than I was a few years ago. Several friends are considering the name right now, which might put me off entirely. I also love [name]Noah[/name] and [name]William[/name]–both very popular at the moment.
[name]Silas[/name] is one of my favorite boy names. I read it in a story years ago and had never heard it before… Now it seems like its on almost everyones baby boy name lists. I still havent met one in person, but its definitely getting there.
I was obsessed with [name]Isabella[/name] from 2000 until I gave up on it in 2008 or 2009. It was my favorite name for so long. It seems like my favorites, [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], and [name]Charlotte[/name] have all taken off. I’m 27 and have loved these names since I was 14 or 15 so it’s been pretty hard to let go of them. I’m still hanging on to [name]Charlotte[/name]. It’s just too perfect of a name for me to let go of.
Also, [name]Violet[/name], [name]Lilah[/name], and [name]Vivienne[/name].
[name]Gavin[/name]. I loved it when i was a teenager, but since then it has grown very popular.
The same for me! I’m a 90’s baby and my name is [name]Ariana[/name], which I love. Now everywhere I go, there’s a little [name]Ariana[/name] (and sometimes, an [name]Arianna[/name], which I don’t think looks god, [name]IMO[/name])!
[name]Asher[/name], for years I kept my mouth shut every time someone asked me what my favorite name was and then I was so bummed when I saw a post about how popular it had become.
Oh I have a TON! When I was little I had a baby dolls named [name]Bella[/name] (short for [name]Isabella[/name]), [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Lily[/name]-[name]Rose[/name] and [name]Jenny[/name]. All over the place yes - but this was a good 20 years ago and I thought as I got older these names would be great for kids… little did I know [name]Isabella[/name]/[name]Bella[/name] and [name]Lily[/name] got INSANELY popular. Another is [name]River[/name]. I have loved this name since I saw Stand by Me with [name]River[/name] [name]Phoenix[/name] (I also was in love with [name]Phoenix[/name]… cant you see a little girl going around saying her first son will be a [name]River[/name] and first daughter [name]Phoenix[/name]?).
There are others… [name]Pippa[/name]. I read a book about 7 years ago - the four main characters were [name]Anne[/name], [name]Gemma[/name], [name]Pippa[/name], and [name]Felicity[/name]. I was CONVINCED this was a sign that I was going to have 4 girls - [name]Gemma[/name], [name]Pippa[/name], [name]Felicity[/name] and [name]Annabel[/name] (I did not like [name]Anne[/name].). But… now [name]Pippa[/name] is getting popular by the second.
Luckily I have a few that are not too popular yet - and I am NOT giving them away.
[name]Aidan[/name]! Its been my favourite for years, its my grandfathers name, and I find it so handsome.
It isn’t popular here in [name]Ireland[/name] (the only [name]Aidan[/name]'s I know are over 35) but there is a chance we might move abroad in the next couple of years if the economy here doesn’t improve, and [name]Aidan[/name] is spectacularly popular in the USA/[name]Canada[/name]/Australia.
For that reason, I can’t consider it
