I was just curious what names you were suppose to be and last minute it was changed or if you were suppose to be a boy or girl.
Mine:
[name]Brandon[/name] [name]Charles[/name]
[name]Grayson[/name]
[name]Dylan[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Alaina[/name]
[name]Ayla[/name]
My dad wanted [name]April[/name] [name]Tiffany[/name] (classic 80s!) and mom wanted [name]Alice[/name] [name]Nell[/name]. I ended up as [name]Emily[/name] [name]Ann[/name].
If I would have been a boy, the name was [name]Jonathan[/name] [name]Samuel[/name].
My mom apparently didn’t have any back up names, or even a boy’s name picked out. She just knew it was a girl and my name would be [name]Janell[/name].
I know [name]Dahlia[/name] was one my mom considered, I wish she chose that over my current name.
I can’t recall the other ones, I didn’t like them much so that’s probably why.
I talked to my mom about this recently for some clarification and got the real story.
At first, my name was going to be [name]Emily[/name] [name]Felecia[/name]. Yes, really. [name]Felecia[/name] was the one name my dad insisted on for the middle spot, even though my mom hated it. The boy name they had picked out was [name]Madison[/name] [name]Quinn[/name], [name]Madison[/name] being a family name. Once I was born, my mom tried one last time to talk my dad out of [name]Felecia[/name] and managed to appease him with [name]Emily[/name] [name]Madison[/name]. Thus, my name is…
If my sister or I were a boy we would have been [name]Wolfgang[/name] [name]Edward[/name] (not joking)
My sister was almost [name]Calliope[/name], but they decided on just [name]Kali[/name] (pn [name]Callie[/name])
My boyfriend was going to be [name]Steven[/name] or [name]Stephanie[/name], either way after his dad
My parents toyed with the idea of [name]Alice[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name] for me, and seriously considered [name]Hannah[/name], but I ended up as [name]Nora[/name]. Now, though, if I had to rename myself I’d definitely pick [name]Alice[/name], no contest. For my sister, my mum really liked [name]Claire[/name] and they both seriously considered [name]Emma[/name], but she ended up as a [name]Grace[/name] and suits it infinitely better than [name]Claire[/name] or [name]Emma[/name]. If one of us was a boy, we probably would have been [name]Owen[/name].
Had my twin sister and I been boys, we’d have been [name]Samuel[/name] and [name]Timothy[/name], but which of us would have had what name I don’t know.
My parents chose one name each, and my mom had plumped for [name]Elizabeth[/name], so my dad chose [name]Margaret[/name]. Mom admitted that deep down inside, she had wanted to call us [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name], and did ask dad but he said no. He wanted [name]Margaret[/name] (which my mom did like, she just preferred [name]Victoria[/name]).
I’m so glad my dad stuck to his guns, as (no offense intended) I loathe the name [name]Victoria[/name].
If I had been a boy I think I would have been [name]Christopher[/name] or [name]Steven[/name]. When I was born they drew my name out of a hat. Other names in the hat were [name]Emily[/name], [name]Willow[/name], [name]Brooke[/name] and [name]Antonia[/name].
If I had been a boy, I would have been [name]Andrew[/name], nicknamed [name]Drew[/name]. My parents still ended up using it for my younger brother’s middle name.
My mother never mentions any other girls’ names she was considering. Apparently, she just had ‘[name]Lynn[/name]’ in mind. [name]Early[/name] into the pregnancy, she suggested it to my dad, who immediately told her he really didn’t like it. So my mom waited until about a month before my due date, and brought the name up to my dad again… and he LOVED it. He was all for it, thought it was really pretty, yadda yadda yadda. He never remembered my mom suggesting it to him before lol. My mom kept quiet about him previously hating ‘[name]Lynn[/name]’ until several years later when there wasn’t anything he could do about it. Thank god my dad forgot, because I love my name, and it suits me! I like to tease him every now and then about the whole thing lol.
If my twin sister and I had been boys, we would have been [name]James[/name] and [name]John[/name]. (I was the firstborn twin, so I would have been [name]James[/name].) As it turned out, my sister and I were named after our grandmothers.
If I was a boy I would’ve been [name]Jacob[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name].
There was no other name for me if I was a girl,
(which I am). I always was going to be [name]Serena[/name]
(which, again, I am a Serena, just a different spelling, for
heritage purposes).
My mom does admit that she was also interested in
naming me [name]Audrina[/name]. My middle name is her
sister’s middle name, & was probably set before
my first name was.
If I was a boy I was going to be named [name]Finn[/name]. My dad liked the name [name]Tatiana[/name], and my mom liked the name [name]Tamsin[/name], but I’m glad I ended up [name]Erin[/name].
I was almost [name]Hailey[/name]. But my parents figured that was too popular, so my dad suggested [name]Harley[/name]. They stuck with that for a while, until my mom figured out what [name]Harley[/name] [name]Davidson[/name] was…Hah. My dad also really liked the name [name]Beth[/name], but my mom didn’t like it as a first name. So they went through a big book of baby names to find the name of a girl my dad had never dated. And thus, I was [name]Amanda[/name] [name]Beth[/name].
If I was a boy, I would’ve been called [name]Daniel[/name]. My parents adore the nickname [name]Danny[/name].
My mum wanted to call me [name]Nicole[/name], but our last name begins with N and she didn’t like the alliteration, so my parents settled on putting [name]Nicole[/name] in the middle spot. Now, my mum wanted to call me [name]Daisy[/name], but began to worry about my being teased, so she decided that once I was born, she would then decide on a name. When I was born, my mum was very tired but refused to go to sleep, as I was born a bit early and she was worried. Finally, she fell asleep, and when she did, my sneaky father filled out my birth certificate so that my name would be [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Nicole[/name], after him.
