Me and my friends are way to young to have kids, but of course I make them tell me since I’m addicted to names. My friend Katie will name hers Roxy and Beckham. My friend Maggie will name hers Victoria and Beck, and my friend Emily (get ready for this) will name hers Alacondra, pronounced Alessandra.
If you’re 11, you and your friends’ taste in names will DEFINITELY change – trust me on this. When I was your age I was obsessed with the names [name]William[/name], [name]Emily[/name], and [name]Elizabeth[/name], which I now find dreadfully dull.
I’ve polled a few patient friends (all fellow twentysomethings) about names more than once. My friend C listed [name]Taylor[/name] and [name]Virginia[/name]; M loves [name]Claudia[/name]; A is partial to [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Christopher[/name]; and my 19-year-old sister, bless her heart, absolutely adores Mercutio (which she pronounces Mer-COOCH-io). None of my friends want children within the next few years, though, so we’ll see what happens when they actually start reproducing.

My friend [name]Katie[/name] wants to name her kids Daymond and [name]Lily[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], my friend [name]Melissa[/name] wants to name her daughter either [name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name], my friend [name]Shayna[/name] wants to name her daughter [name]Anne[/name], after her grandmother, and my friend [name]Tate[/name] (She’s a girl, isn’t her name awesome? Although theres also a boy [name]Tate[/name] in our grade, so she gets some funny looks, her middle name is [name]Milena[/name]) wants to name her daughter [name]Olive[/name] or Friday.
My frined [name]Brianna[/name] wants to name her two daughters [name]Kennedy[/name] and [name]Dakota[/name], My friend [name]Juliana[/name] wants to name her kids [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Roberto[/name] [name]James[/name], my friend [name]Ashley[/name] wants to name her kids [name]Caleb[/name] and [name]Juniper[/name], my friend [name]Caitlin[/name] wants to name her daughter [name]Charlotte[/name], and my friend [name]Mya[/name] wants to name her daughter [name]Jillian[/name].
I’m not much older than you, but one of my friends plan to name their kids [name]Caroline[/name] & [name]Jasper[/name].
I never actually asked my friends what they want to name their children! haha. I don’t know why. I asked them their opinions on names, but not which names they would actually use.
I do have a few former classmates/friends who named their children [name]Noah[/name] and [name]Seth[/name] (brothers), [name]Kaylin[/name] (her sisters would have been [name]Isabella[/name] and [name]Lorelei[/name], but they didn’t make it, unfortunately), [name]Eliora[/name], [name]Abby[/name] and [name]Kate[/name] (not sure if they’re short for [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Katherine[/name] or just [name]Abby[/name] and [name]Kate[/name]; sisters), [name]Alijah[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] (nn [name]Josie[/name]), [name]Benjamin[/name] and [name]Brenna[/name] ([name]Ben[/name] and [name]Brenna[/name]; siblings), [name]Alaina[/name], [name]Alexis[/name] and [name]Emma[/name] ([name]Lexi[/name] and [name]Emma[/name]; sisters), [name]Zachary[/name] and [name]Ryan[/name] (brothers), [name]Catherine[/name] (nn [name]Cate[/name]), [name]Seth[/name] and [name]Gracelyn[/name] ([name]Seth[/name] and [name]Gracie[/name]; siblings), [name]Natalie[/name] and [name]Nolan[/name], etc. I’m sure there are more. And um, I have asked coworkers. Two of them are dating, and said they’d like to use [name]Caden[/name] [name]Daniel[/name] (or [name]Caden[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]/[name]James[/name]?) or [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Gabriella[/name], and another one said she liked [name]Emily[/name], Vanity, and [name]Elijah[/name]. Yeah. Vanity is terrible. haha.
I know my one sister really has loved [name]Julia[/name], [name]Spencer[/name] (girl), [name]Ezra[/name], [name]Nicholas[/name], etc., and the other one has loved [name]Andrew[/name], [name]Everett[/name], [name]Isaac[/name], [name]William[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name] (nn [name]Gigi[/name]), and [name]Andromeda[/name] (nn [name]Anna[/name]). My brother really isn’t into names yet, haha.
My best friend likes [name]Caleb[/name] for a boy. Then she met twin boys named [name]Asher[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name] and fell in love with those names as well
I know another friend likes [name]Gabrielle[/name] for a girl.
And another likes [name]Cameron[/name] (sp?) for a girl. This one’s twin sister has a whole list of names that she doesn’t share with anyone!
Oh, and my sister (13) likes the names [name]Elijah[/name], [name]Corey[/name] and [name]Gwen[/name], all for girls! Lol!

Most of my friends (all in their twenties) prefer the current ‘trendy’ names like [name]Braylin[/name], [name]Braxton[/name], [name]Neveah[/name], etc, which are not my style at all. My taste in names is kind of all over the map, but most tend to border the classic side of things; names like [name]Meredith[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Sebastian[/name], etc.
I have a friend who wants to name a daughter [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Eve[/name] and another who wants to name her daughter [name]Shauna[/name] [name]Nicole[/name], that’s all I can think of at the moment
