I don’t understand what you are meaning with the ‘’[name_u]Van[/name_u] Gogh’’ feeling in names. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you mean old fashioned dutch names? Or names from classic painters? Also, i’m dutch and if you knew the proper pronouncation of the name I will bet you wouldn’t be looking for simmilar names. It is the sounds what you make when you brush the back of your tonque with the toothbrush.
[name_u]Van[/name_u] GGGGGGGGGG…lol
Okay there we go:
Cosmet, I love this name for a dog… a little chihuahua who feels and act of he is the king of the world. For a little girl I would settle for [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] or the french variation Cosmée?
What about, [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]Cosme[/name_u]é?
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] van Gogh was relative of the famous painter. He was also a painter and made artsy kind of movies. Back in 2004 he was murdered by a muslim because he made a movie about the islam. You really need to google up that story very interesting and he was loved by the dutch.
Amra, I don’t like the sound of the name to tell you the truth, but the meaning “to live a long life” is just gorgeous! What about, [name_f]Violette[/name_f] Amra or Amra [name_f]Violette[/name_f]?
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] is a symbol of humility , modesty and youthful innocence (That is why we see in many period tv shows young gentlemen giving the girls a bouque of violettes when they come and pick up the girls for their first date :-)) Because of the meanings I love the names in a combo.
[name_f]Juno[/name_f], This name feels like a modern [name_u]June[/name_u]. It is cute on paper and easy to use for a middle name. But really naming a girl ‘‘You Know’’ (nothing [name_m]Jon[/name_m] Sow)
I don’t know about that one…
What about: [name_f]Juno[/name_f] Cosmia? My problem is still with the pronunciation it is to close to ‘‘You Know’’ for me. It will be diffrant when the name is for a book / movie character or used in a none english speaking country. Otherwise I would go for something else… Like: [name_f]Juna[/name_f], Jula, Jools…
[name_f]Luna[/name_f], For me it is a has been name. It was very popular back in 2000 and every [name_f]Luna[/name_f] I know is around the 15. It would be a pleasant surprise to meet a little [name_f]Luna[/name_f]. Other names with the moon meaning or goddes of the moon are:
[name_f]Aylin[/name_f], Helo around the moon in Turkish.
Cèline, Cèlene, [name_f]Selina[/name_f], Ceyla, [name_f]Cyra[/name_f], [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f], [name_f]Diana[/name_f], Loorea, [name_u]London[/name_u], [name_f]Lucine[/name_f] (Moonlight), [name_u]Mika[/name_u], Neona, [name_f]Shiva[/name_f]…
[name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Lucine[/name_f]
[name_f]Aster[/name_f] Cèline
Ceyla [name_f]Rose[/name_f] / Ceyla [name_u]Rue[/name_u]
[name_u]Lindsay[/name_u] [name_f]Aylin[/name_f]
[name_f]Cyra[/name_f] Rox / [name_f]Cyra[/name_f] Roxette / [name_f]Cyra[/name_f] [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] ([name_f]Moon[/name_f], [name_u]Bright[/name_u])
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f], One of my favourite names! I had ‘’[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u]’’ on my list. [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] means evening in Latin and I really miss that name on your list! [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_u]Kit[/name_u] sounds also pretty cool for a tom-boy-ish girl!
[name_u]Kit[/name_u], I know the name is official a nn for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. Im not a big fan of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] but you got many unusual names on your list. I would use in this case ‘’[name_u]Kit[/name_u]’’ for a nn and given name [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]? Like: [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Comet[/name_f] or [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. Or just use it with a more traditional first name like, [name_u]Lindsay[/name_u] [name_u]Kit[/name_u] or [name_f]Karen[/name_f] [name_u]Kit[/name_u]?
If you like the [name_u]Kit[/name_u] sound maybe you would like the name Kether? I saw it somewhere on tv used for a girl. Meaning of the name is: Crown of pure brilliance or Shining one. Kether [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?
- What names feel ‘’[name_m]Von[/name_m] Gogh’’ to mee… I don’t have a special feeling in that direction. I know from history class that he made a lot of paintings just to pay his bills. To go more in that direction I should go with the Victorian style of names because his paying clients had them often.
