[name_m]Hi[/name_m]
No matter how much I love the name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] I just can’t shake off the fact that I feel it’s to short in letters. I know I am crazy. So my solution is to either spell it [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] or to hyphenate [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] with another name. So which one would you choose, to spell the name [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] or hyphenate?
If I went the [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] hyphen route these are some ideas I have had. Please tell me what you think. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-[name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-[name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-[name_f]Grace[/name_f]. Which of these do you like? Any suggestions?
Thanks for any help.
I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. I don’t think I would hyphenate the name.
I prefer spelling it [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] instead of hyphenating the name.
Would its short length seem more appropriate if you used [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as a nickname for a longer name? [name_f]Lucille[/name_f], [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], [name_f]Luciana[/name_f], and maybe even [name_f]Louise[/name_f]/[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] come to mind.
I can’t use [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] as I know someone with that name. I don’t think I am to keen on [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] but it’s not really used in the year I was born in the UK. However I do like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f].
There’s also [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f], Lusine, [name_f]Lucasta[/name_f], Lucilia, [name_f]Lucilla[/name_f], and [name_f]Lucina[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Lucie[/name_f]'s very pretty, so I’d go with that. I also like the idea of using a longer form and having [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] as a nickname.
Of those two options, I would probably go with [name_f]Lucie[/name_f].
