What would you name a new country?

I thought about this when I woke up this morning, it’s just for fun. (not sure if it’s in the correct category though! Sorry if it’s not)

Let’s say you were given a nice large piece of land (could be within your home country or somewhere else in the current world) and told to create a new country there, what would you name it?

Best I’ve come up with is [name_f]Almeria[/name_f], which i quite like, or just Alme which also sounds decent for me.
What would you name a country of your own?

Lenoria or Lindalia

Since my name starts with an L, I would love it to start with L, I might revisit this question if I come up with an even cooler idea

A few years ago I had an imaginary country I called Catrine, pronounced like Katrina but without the last syllable!

I’d love to name a country Oselmoon, with the first part sounding like ocelot! :crescent_moon:

Andalasia, which is sort of cheating, as it is already the fictional realm from Enchanted! I think it’s so great name. Of my own accord, maybe I’d choose Blithemeadow or [name_f]Apricity[/name_f].
