[name]Hi[/name] Berries!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted. My hubby and I are still TTC our first, so this post is a little premature, but I think I might be looking to go in a different direction with our name list. I have always loved [name]Luca[/name] for a boy, and my DH actually agrees and really likes it as well. Our list right now, has many anglophile names ([name]Henry[/name], [name]Charlie[/name], [name]Ivy[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Clara[/name], [name]Lucy[/name]). I know names don’t have to necessarily “match” in style … but I just don’t like how [name]Luca[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name] sound together …
I keep trying to find “THE name” for a little girl, and have spent countless hours searching. I don’t know that we are scraping our whole list … we may go with the names on our list … I just was curious … If we did go with [name]Luca[/name] for a boy (most likely [name]Luca[/name] [name]James[/name]) … what would you name his sister?

[name]Love[/name] [name]Luca[/name], it’s the top of my list, but DP is not so fond. I think [name]Luca[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name] are sweet together. I’m not going to give you my girl’s list as I’m sure you don’t want a similar sibset. I think you want short names with not too many hard sounds.
[name]Clara[/name] also works for me, similar sounds, but not too similar. Not fond of [name]Charlotte[/name] or [name]Lucy[/name] in general but I wouldn’t use [name]Lucy[/name] with [name]Luca[/name].
Malk - Thanks for the reassurance - I really appreciate it! I wouldn’t use [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Luca[/name] together as a sibset! I was trying to list some names I like, so that you would sort of get a feel for my naming style. I am liking [name]Luca[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] together too! Similar feel for sure!
[name]Mischa[/name] - your suggestions were great. I especially liked [name]Tessa[/name], [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Amabel[/name], [name]Thea[/name], [name]Nina[/name], [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Katia[/name]. For us, finding boys names that we love seem to be easy. I know we don’t have to pick a style per say, but, I’d like the names to have a similar feel. I agree that [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Luca[/name] are both spunky, but I think I actually like [name]Luca[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] better together as a sibset. I’m also sort of crushing on [name]Eleni[/name], [name]Livia[/name], [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Lilia[/name] lately. I might just be in a “romantic” mood … I’m feeling the girly-girl names!
Any other suggestions for a sister to [name]Luca[/name] would be much appreciated! I will definitely be adding some of those above to our list! Thank you so much!!!
I love [name]Luca[/name]! Good choice :-)! I actually really like [name]Luca[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name] together. I agree that they are both very spunky. I also love [name]Luca[/name] and [name]Clara[/name], but that’s probably because my favorite girl name is [name]Clara[/name] [name]Willow[/name].
