I’d like a one syllable name. Maybe…
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_u]Anne[/name_u]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_u]Or[/name_u] if two syllables…
[name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
Oh I’d love a one syllable name and haven’t been able to think of the right one. I love [name_f]Kate[/name_f] but my husband thinks it’s too plain. I have [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]May[/name_f] on my list.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] too!! Thank you!
I think with a difficult to spell last name, the difficulty of the first name won’t really matter that much. I have a last name that is always misspelled, and even though i have a classic first name with really only 1 common spelling, it gets butchered sometimes also. A more common or simpler first name might be easier for her to spell though, but for other people she’ll probably always have to correct some at times.
With that being said if you just prefer more easier to spell or pronounce names, then there’s nothing wrong with that at all.
I didn’t see your previous post about girls’ names so not sure what was already on your list, but with brother [name_u]William[/name_u] (liam) here are some that sound nice to me:
It’s so funny , because I was obsessed with popularity with my first . But with this pregnancy I care way less about popularity and more about flow / fit with my oldest! We gave him a super unique name. I scoured our family trees for several generations to ensure no one had his name … and we are seriously considering using a top 10 name this go around !
I think [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is timeless - and there are so many other none [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] nicknames too !! ( [name_f]Lena[/name_f] , [name_f]Leni[/name_f], Lea(h) , Anor(a) ) lots of great options.
I agree Alexandria/ [name_u]Allie[/name_u] is far less common in this generation- and I adore it ! I think it’s a good compromise!
I love this ! I do think we get too wrapped up in popularity when a beautiful or timeless name will probably always be somewhat popular (for a reason) ! I’d love to hear your sons name and what you are thinking of naming your daughter just for fun! (If you are open to sharing)
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] ! [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is growing on me maybe with the nickname [name_f]Mia[/name_f] or [name_f]Millie[/name_f].
