What would YOU name my kids? (sort of a game, if you guys join in)

I had this conversation a while ago with my siblings, of what we would name each others’ kids based on our personalities and stuff like that. We never really got to my turn before the conversation went a different direction, and I’ve been wondering since then: what would people name my kids if they were me?

So I thought this might be a fun game. Knowing some basic information about me, what would you name my kids? (Obviously anyone who likes the idea is free to join in as well!)

A brief overview of me: I’m a 25 year old girl with super curly brown hair, brown eyes, sort of a peaches-and-cream skin tone. I have a BS in a social science and am working towards getting a higher degree; ultimately I want a Ph.D. The first love of my life was literature, and I am a big collector of books. My dream home is one where every wall is also a built-in bookshelf, especially hallways. I enjoy cooking. I love [name]Indian[/name] and Mexican foods. [name]Indie[/name], folk, and alternative rock music (think Mumford & Sons, [name]Meaghan[/name] [name]Smith[/name], Seabird, Punch Brothers, etc.) are my favorites, but I like all music. I’m the middle child in a family of all girls. My favorite colors are blue and grey; I hate the color red. Politically I’m moderate. I’m an introvert. My favorite tv shows are [name]Doctor[/name] Who, Warehouse 13, [name]Gilmore[/name] Girls, and The [name]Mindy[/name] Project. I love doing research. I love museums. My favorite artist is [name]Van[/name] Gogh and sometimes I cry when I think about him. I have a mild obsession with all things British (more [name]England[/name]/[name]Scotland[/name], less [name]Wales[/name]/Northern [name]Ireland[/name]). My favorite quality is my ability to laugh at myself/not take things too seriously.

My turn: I’m 17, but mature for my age (apparently). I have red hair, blue eyes and am covered in freckles. I have very pale skin. I wear glasses for reading. I’m 20, and currently studying a BA in International Studies. I have long, wavy light brown hair and blue eyes. I write stories, and play video games ‘a lot.’ I’m also sort of proficient speaking and writing Mandarin. My favorite kind of music tends to be labeled as [name]Indie[/name] Folk/Pop. I love my home country Australia, and I would say I’m a little patriotic…But not too much to bet on the cricket. My turn: I have curly brown hair, hazel eyes, and a few freckles. I like music. Mainly The Beatles, though I do like some newer stuff like P!nk, and 1D. But mainly The Beatles. My favorite colors are blue and green and pink. I’m an aspiring singer/songwriter and I’m learning bass guitar. I want to learn drums and normal guitar, too. Wow I love all those combos [name]Fiammetta[/name]! I do tend to like longer names, only because they give me more nickname options. As for [name]Ciro[/name], I stumbled across it lately when researching italian names for a project. [name]Ciro[/name] is the Italian and Spanish form of [name]Cyrus[/name], so it pronounced CHEE-ro (Italian) THEE-ro (Spanish) and See-ro (Latin American Spanish). I guess it depends on which pronunciation you like best.

@sunshine: I’m glad you liked them! That’s interesting - for me CHEE-ro would probably be the most natural pronunciation as I’m not fond of SEE-ro. THEE-ro is handsome, though I would be surprised if anyone around here pronounced it that way!

OP; I’m thinking frilly and feminine girl names like [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Madeline[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]. For boys I’m thinking bold, harsh and strong, while remaining suitable for a little boy. [name]Cole[/name], [name]Jack[/name], [name]James[/name] and the like.

Fiametta; I’m thinking things like [name]Samuel[/name], [name]Maximillian[/name], [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Skye[/name], [name]Elaina[/name] [name]Mae[/name], [name]Violetta[/name] [name]Dawn[/name], etc…. Mine:
I’m 20 years old and currently studied Hospitality and Event Management and Communications. I’m decently short and have long, thick wavy brown hair, one blue eyes and one green eye, a pale complexion, a small handful of piercings and a good sized handful of tattoos. [name]Music[/name] is my absolute passion and I play bass, piano and drums in a couple bands. I listen to a lot of pop punk and some favorite bands include Fall Out Boy, All Time Low and Blink 182. I snowboard, skate and surf and played ice hockey and swam in high school (and continue to play hockey). Lordy, so many of us have curly hair!

Me: I’m Renny, a 26 year old writer who lives in North West England. I’m short, slight and have big bluey-grey eyes, long curly light ash brown hair and freckles. I’m normally translucent in skin tone but recently graduated to a ‘pale cream’ colour when I went to visit my friends in Atlanta. I’m a patriotic royalist but not to a dangerous extent ( :wink: ) I’m quite a girly-girl but can talk about football as if I were a boy.
