I was trying to come up with names for this thread, but literally could not think of/find anything that made sense with my name.
So I’m curious, if nameberry had existed 20ish years ago & my mom came on here asking for sibling names, what suggestions would you give?
My name is Ch@telain3 An1se (the ch is pronounced with a sh sound and anise rhyming with Denise). My parents found my first name in the dictionary while reading it for fun. My middle name, my mom just always thought the spice sounded pretty & that it flowed well with Ch@telain3. Might be hard to find names that go that are of similar popularity (that is to say, virtually unheard of), but still uncommon would be a plus.
Ooh fun! I know you haven’t always loved it, but I think your name is just so fabulous and totally unique. As a generically named person, I envy that!
[name_m]Deveraux[/name_m] was the first boy name that popped into my mind. It’s not quite as rare as your name, but still pretty eye-catching and has the same [name_u]French[/name_u] roots and a few familiar sounds/features, without being at all common itself.
For a girl, something with an old, epic, romantic feel. I associate your name with La châtelaine de Vergy, a 13th century courtly romance which I read at some point during my [name_u]French[/name_u] studies.
