My partner likes two syllable androgynous, (masculine leaning), surnames for girls. Examples are:
[name_m]Tucker[/name_m]
[name_u]Lennox[/name_u]
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u]
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u]
[name_f]Harlow[/name_f]
[name_u]Devin[/name_u]
(She also loves the name [name_f]Maya[/name_f], which I feel meh about)
I like borderline hippy names and old-fashioned feminine names, and my ideal combo would combine the two styles by using a more classic name upfront with a guilty pleasure middle name. Examples are:
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (nickname [name_f]Nell[/name_f])
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_f]Clio[/name_f]
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f]
[name_f]Nova[/name_f]
[name_f]Sparrow[/name_f]
[name_f]Sedona[/name_f]
We both like the name [name_u]True[/name_u], but I think it might be better as a middle name. I just can’t imagine myself answering to that name on a daily basis, so it’s hard to imagine actually naming a kid [name_u]True[/name_u]. I don’t want a last name as first name because our kid will have a hyphenated last name (both of our surnames are two syllables.) I’m looking for suggestions that have a history of use as a feminine name, or at least aren’t super masculine, without being frilly. Nature related meanings are a plus.
