My best friend and I were talking last night about our lives in the future, and we “decided” that we were going to (among other things) be single moms who traveled the world together with our kids.
I have this mental picture of myself with two little girls, close in age if not twins.
What would you name these two world-traveling little girls? I’m looking for new ideas to add to my girls’ list, so please just throw some names at me.
I’d probably pick simple names that would be easy to say in multiple languages. Names that come to mind:
[name_f]Mona[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Evi[/name_f]
[name_f]Miri[/name_f] or [name_f]Meera[/name_f]/[name_f]Mira[/name_f]
[name_f]Lindi[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] or [name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f]
I’d probably pick [name_f]Mira[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] “[name_f]Evi[/name_f]” or [name_u]Mirren[/name_u] “[name_f]Miri[/name_f]” and [name_f]Elena[/name_f], though I’m liking [name_f]Lindi[/name_f] too, which could be short for Lindiwe, a name from Southern [name_f]Africa[/name_f].
Other ideas:
[name_f]Monique[/name_f] (From “Around the world in 80days”)
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Monica[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Maris[/name_f] is latin for the Northern star which she could see from most places on earth. The other name could be something like [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] (earth voyager) ?
I love this idea! I myself would probably go with [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and [name_f]Selene[/name_f], both meaning moon, or something a little more pretentious like [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] and [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f].
