[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
Nice list! I’m not really good at naming styles…I think I’d say somewhere around old fashioned but fresh & boyish but not super macho.
Here are my thoughts on each name-
Abel-I like it. It feels warm & old time-y. It’s simple & not popular & the nn [name_m]Abe[/name_m] is darling.
Abram-Hm. I like this a little bit more than [name_m]Abel[/name_m], even though I think that it is a tad more complicated. But I’m a sucker for Hebrew names. I just think that the pronunciation is maybe tricky.
Alexander-A nice classic. It doesn’t wow me, but I think it’s handsome. I love the nn [name_m]Dex[/name_m]! And [name_u]Ace[/name_u]. And [name_u]Alex[/name_u] is cute too, really.
Atticus-I used to love this name, but recently I’ve been thinking that it looks weird & is too hipster-y. But it’s still a nice name. Good nns too like [name_f]Atty[/name_f], [name_u]Ace[/name_u], [name_u]Kit[/name_u] & [name_u]Gus[/name_u].
Casper-I like it. It’s quirky & witty & smart & old fashioned but not dusty. I like Caspi as a nn a lot.
Caspian-I like this too. It’s a bit more regal, whereas [name_m]Casper[/name_m] seems more friendly. [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] seems more pretentious, but it’s not unpleasant.
Dawson-I like this one. I mainly like it, because my late dad was [name_u]David[/name_u], & this means ‘son of David’. So, I’d personally like to use it as an honor name. But the name itself isn’t that exciting to me otherwise. But again…it’s perfectly nice.
Declan-I love this one. It’s almost like a spunkier version of [name_u]Dawson[/name_u]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though it might be more popular, but not super popular.
Finn-Love love love it. Has been one of my favorites for years. It’s so charmingly boyish & fun, but feels sharp & smart.
[name_m]Fred[/name_m] / Frederick-I’m loving [name_m]Fred[/name_m] lately. It’s really adorable. I like [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] too. And [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] is a handsome full name. I prefer [name_m]Frederic[/name_m], but [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] is probably more common.
Jesse-I want to like this name. I like it in theory. It’s Old Testament & it’s cowboy-ish, & it’s simple but not over done. Lots of good qualities! I just don’t like the sound that much for some reason.
Jonah-This is super sweet & handsome. It feels warm & lovable.
Julian-I love it! I love it even more than [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. One of my very favorites. It’s so handsome & classy & sweet.
Oberon-I’m not huge on this one. It feels a bit too Sci-fi or something. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though it’s totally not!
Oisin-I think that this is neat & I love that it’s an unique Irish name. I don’t like the sound as much as I’d like to though. And it’s just really hard to say & spell.
Owen-I like this one a lot. It’s kind of outdoorsy & down to earth & masculine but not macho.
Rafe-I like this a lot too! It feels so chill & a little cowboy-ish & a little sporty. I like it on its own, but I love [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] nn [name_u]Rafe[/name_u] even more.
Robin-This name is growing on me, but I don’t know…I love the bird imagery, but it feels a bit too feminine for a boy & a bit too masculine for a girl.
Rudy-I can see the appeal. It sounds cute, but I can’t get over the ‘rude’ part.
Seth-I want to like it. It sounds like a very nice guy name. It’s well known & easy & not popular. I just don’t like saying it outloud.
Tadhg-It’s kind of neat. I don’t like the way it looks, but at the same time do like how it’s spelled authentically.
Vincent-Some days I don’t like how this sounds at all, but some days I feel like it’s old fashioned & kind of fun & smart. I don’t know! It’s a not over done classic choice anyway.
Wade-I want to like it more than I do, but it’s simple & unique & has a cool chill guy [name_u]Southern[/name_u] vibe.
Wells-Not sure I like this that much, but I think it’s interesting as a nn for [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u].
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
