What would you suggest?

So I have my favourite combo’s in place but I’m not entirely happy so I’m looking for your help!

The favourites right now are:

  1. [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f]
  2. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f]
  3. [name_f]Olwen[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
  4. [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]

I love the idea of [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] & [name_f]Olwen[/name_f] as sisters, but struggle seeing [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] in there too and I’m not sure [name_f]Olwen[/name_f] is the best option either. Another favourite of mine is [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] but my partner is very much against [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] as a FN so I’ve left that off for the time being. Also, would [name_f]Pandora[/name_f], [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] & [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] be too much. I’ve suggested [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_u]Seren[/name_u], [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]India[/name_f], [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]*, [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] and [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] but he doesn’t like those either.

Basically, I’m looking for as many suggestions as possible based on the favourites that I’ve listed!

I love your names! Here are my suggestions:

Good luck!

I think that if you have a [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] and [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] and don’t give your third daughter (should you have one) another easy to recognize Greek- mythology name - it might be one reason [name_f]Olwen[/name_f] and or [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] might feel weird. I, in particular, love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] and [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] as a trio.

Greek mythology names:
[name_f]Athena[/name_f], [name_f]Circe[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_u]Hero[/name_u] (though I find this one a bit short with your others), [name_f]Cassiopeia[/name_f], [name_f]Minerva[/name_f], [name_f]Pheobe[/name_f] (if you like the P theme).

Classic names:
[name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Hyacinthia[/name_f], [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Mavis[/name_f], [name_f]Elora[/name_f]/[name_f]Eliora[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Isolde[/name_f], [name_f]Veda[/name_f]

The favourites right now are:

  1. [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] - A little too much of a mouthful for me.
  2. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], love the nn [name_u]Mattie[/name_u].
  3. [name_f]Olwen[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] - Pretty, but [name_f]Olwen[/name_f] sounds too much like [name_f]ELowen[/name_f].
  4. [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] - My favorite here, with the nn [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]. I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]!

So I have my favourite combo’s in place but I’m not entirely happy so I’m looking for your help!

The favourites right now are:

  1. [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] - way too wordy. Also she got screwed big time. Talk about disempowered women.
  2. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] - just write her her own children’s book already. This is too cute. I love it, my ovaries love it.
  3. [name_f]Olwen[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] - this sounds like a boys name, which is okay, but I would expect to meet a boy if I read this.
  4. [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] - harry. hairy - ette. WHy do that to a kid? I’m not oen to dislike hairy things, but it’s just what comes to mind.
[name_f]Pandora[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] - [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] is a bit of a mouthful, and people will always associate her with 'that chick who dared not listen to authority and let lose all sorts of awful things" Maybe one or two will remember that she let out hope, these are the same people who realize how sexist the [name_f]Pandora[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] myths are.
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - cute. [name_m]Will[/name_m] always be associated with the fruit. She could start a clothing label in her name and be really hip.
[name_u]Seren[/name_u] - YES. Such a cool name. Kind of unisex, smart, smooth, strong, rare.
    [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] - I sort of dig it.
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] - kind of cool, kind of old.
[name_f]India[/name_f] - I like this name in theory, in practise it sounds suburban yoga mom pretentious. Try wearing baggy indian pants for a year and see how indian women react before condemning your child to their stares for life. I love baggy indian pants, and I willingly deal with the stares of being a white urban chick who shamelessly appropriates their culture and identity. But your kid won’t get to make that choice.
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] - cool, different, nn [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] is okay too
    [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] - kind of dull
    [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] - maple syrup

TL;DR [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] is cheek squeezingly adorable, but if you want your daughter to be more then just ‘cute’ go for [name_u]Seren[/name_u]. Though some people might call her Sauron, like the evil eye from lord of the rings. Screw them [name_u]Seren[/name_u] is cool. Might be teased with Soarin’ through the sky or serenade. Neither are especially damaging to a fragile psyche. [name_u]Seren[/name_u] is genius.
