Hm…I am told by a lot of people that I look like a [name_f]Patricia[/name_f], but personally, I disagree. I’ve always liked the name [name_f]Zara[/name_f], so I don’t know, maybe I’d like to name myself that. See, I’m very attached to my name because I am named after my great-grandmother who died a few months before I was born.
I’ve always been very fascinated and in love with countless names, so it’s really difficult to say. Anyways, this thread was really inspiring, and actually made me think, so thank you to the creator! I always enjoy something to think on.

Interesting topic!! I think for me there’s the debate between the name I’d like to suit and a name that would actually suit me! Of the names on my short list, I think I’d most like to be called [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] (a name I would give to a child) but does it suit me? I’m not sure that it does
I think most of my signature would suit me because my style is close to my personal aura if that makes sense?? I love names that give off rich imagery and are mystical, otherworldly, and rare but not totally obscure. I’m mysterious, a little bit confusing, and try to always have strength so i’d easily wear [name_f]Pandora[/name_f], [name_f]Godiva[/name_f] and [name_f]Nimue[/name_f].
I love how some cultures wait months or even years to give their baby a name that’s fitting to their personality. I think it’s so lovely and special doing it that way and is probably what I’ll do.

Ooh I like this question! When I was younger, I used to pick a fake name for myself to use on the internet that usually came from my current name list at the time. I was only using game sites, but liked the change. Two I can remember are [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f], neither of which I like anymore, for a child of mine or myself.
The name I currently use as a pseudonym for writing is [name_f]Esmae[/name_f] “[name_f]Essie[/name_f]”, which is probably what I’d pick. [name_f]Esmae[/name_f]/[name_f]Esme[/name_f] isn’t on my list because of this, but it would be if I weren’t using it. I’d like to think I’d fit a lot of the names in my signature, but I’m not sure I do. Maybe [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]?
Huh, it feels as though there is a trend in people saying if they used a name from their own list they would use one of the simpler/more common ones!
For me I could see myself with most of the names I would seriously consider, probably particularly because I do tend towards names similar to my own - classic, international-with-a-romance-language-slant, and recognizable if not super common. [name_f]Paola[/name_f] is the name I can most easily see myself in, but I could also be an [name_f]Alba[/name_f] or a [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] (although I think I would find [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] a bit dull). I have a harder time imaging myself as a [name_f]Liana[/name_f] (too sweet) or an [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f] (I always picture my [name_f]MIL[/name_f] as a little girl when I think of having an [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f], for some reason), though. A name that I could also imagine on myself is [name_f]Eva[/name_f] (pronounced like [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is in English), but [name_f]Eva[/name_f] has never really landed on my list despite fitting my style.
In terms of boy’s names I do conjure up an image of my SO to see if the name fits him, and most of our favorites do. He could totally be a [name_m]Maceo[/name_m] or a [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] or a [name_m]Javier[/name_m], although [name_m]Javier[/name_m] feels like a slightly boring name for him. I have a harder time imagining him as a [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] or a [name_m]Leandro[/name_m], although it is maybe just because those names are so far from his actual name. I could also completely see him as a [name_m]Tiago[/name_m], but I can’t get him to agree to that one!
