I have 2 weeks to go and can’t seem to decide between these three. Please help!!!
[name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
Siblings: [name]Nicholas[/name] and [name]Caroline[/name]
A few notes, I don’t like [name]Vicki[/name] or [name]Tori[/name] so she would go by [name]Victoria[/name]. I like [name]Olivia[/name] but is it overused? Too common? ANy other opinions welcome. I need a name FAST before baby arrives. Thanks SO SO MUCH!!!
I vote [name]Genevieve[/name]. I think it’s a beautiful name. [name]Olivia[/name], I think, is overused now and I can’t help but think of [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Beckham[/name]!
[name]Victoria[/name] is an all time favorite of mine! I adore it! I love [name]Olivia[/name], too, it’s just so incredibly popular right now. [name]Genevieve[/name] is lovely and definitely the least common.
[name]Genevieve[/name] is my favourite, but I think [name]Olivia[/name] best fits the ‘sibset’ (oooh, learning new abbreviations fast!). Really don’t like [name]Victoria[/name]!
Those are 3 beautiful names. I’d be happy to be called any one of them.
[name]Victoria[/name] is a long-time favorite of mine. I don’t like any nicknames for it either.
[name]Genevieve[/name] is a newer favorite. [name]Just[/name] love it.
[name]Olivia[/name] is certainly the most popular of the three, but if it is your favorite, use it! ([name]Genevieve[/name] is getting more popular and [name]Victoria[/name] has been popular for quite some time).
All are great! I think my favorite is [name]Olivia[/name], followed very closely by [name]Genevieve[/name]. They’re both fantastic names. [name]Victoria[/name] is great as well, but I’ve never been a huge fan of the “ic” sound in it. I think [name]Genevieve[/name] has better nickname potential than [name]Olivia[/name]- you’ve got [name]Gen/name, [name]Neve[/name], [name]Eve[/name], [name]Evie[/name], [name]Eva[/name], and Vieve.
[name]Olivia[/name] is very, very common, but I don’t think that makes it bad. I have tons of friends my age named [name]Kate[/name], [name]Alexandra[/name], and [name]Cassandra[/name], all much less common for today’s babies, but the names don’t really sound dated to me. They were more popular in the past, but they haven’t become super associated with the 80’s like [name]Tiffany[/name] and [name]Amber[/name] because they’ve got a sort of weight to them. They wouldn’t seem weird on a baby now. I think [name]Olivia[/name] has that same staying power. [name]Even[/name] though it’s very popular, I don’t think it’ll ever sound classless or old.
I like them in the order you had them listed. I agree the nicknames for [name]Victoria[/name] aren’t stellar, but I just thought of another. [name]Via[/name] as a nn for [name]Victoria[/name]. You might think it’s nutty, but it could be cute.
I also vote [name]Genevieve[/name], it’s my absolute favorite on your list. I also like [name]Victoria[/name], but like you would not want a nickname. But even if you don’t give her a nickname, others will so that’s why I wouldn’t use it. And [name]Olivia[/name] is gorgeous, I love the proper name and the nn of [name]Liv[/name].
I think either [name]Genevieve[/name] or [name]Olivia[/name] would work well with the other kids names.
I think I like [name]Genevieve[/name] the best (I think [name]Genna[/name]/[name]Jenna[/name], or maybe even [name]Evie[/name], is a cute nn), but [name]Olivia[/name] might flow best with [name]Nicholas[/name] and [name]Caroline[/name] ([name]Nick[/name], Care, and [name]Liv[/name] are cute nns)…Sorry, I’m always thinking of nicknames. I’ve never been a fan of [name]Victoria[/name], but it would certainly go with her siblings’ names.
[name]Victoria[/name] is a name I have always struggled with…on the one hand it is really beautiful to me, but on the other hand it feels a little harsh and snooty to me.
I love [name]Olivia[/name], despite its popularity, and I think it goes great in the sibset. I know that it is fairly common, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use it…don’t let that be the only reason to hold you back. I only know one [name]Olivia[/name] and she was born a few months ago. I adore the nickname [name]Liv[/name], too! My 9 year old nephew has a very popular name (top 5 name the year he was born, it is ranked even higher now), and he has never had a classmate with his name.
[name]Genevieve[/name] is my favourite out of the three. [name]Victoria[/name] works really well, but I find [name]Olivia[/name] way to popular. Right now there are 5 Olivias in the kindergarten class near my school. But they are all really pretty names.
[name]Nicholas[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], and [name]Victoria[/name] is perfect!
I dont think [name]Victoria[/name] needs a nickname. Does your [name]Caroline[/name] go by [name]Caroline[/name]? Nothing wrong with using a beautiful name in its full version. A nn you love may emerge over time too.
[name]Victoria[/name] gets my vote
I love the suggestion of using the nn [name]Via[/name]! It could be a nn for [name]Olivia[/name] too! I love [name]Liv[/name], but a lot of [name]Olivia[/name]'s are called [name]Liv[/name]. [name]Via[/name] is super cute and different.
