Is there a name that you’ve recently fallen in love with? – [name]Spencer[/name] for a girl.
Is it a name that was new to you or one that has grown on you gradually? –Its new to me think of it as a female name. But I’ve really started to love it.
Where did you hear it? – The show Pretty [name]Little[/name] Liars ([name]Spencer[/name] Hastings)
[name]Arwen[/name] - but I am not a LotR person so I feel like might be odd for me to use it. And maybe too much of a “fantasy girl” sibset with my favorite name Sansa.
[name]Chiara[/name] - I find it very pretty, and nice when written, but am worried about it being too similar to [name]Keira[/name] or having a trendy sound to it.
[name]Carys[/name] - I have seen this around a lot recently and I am digging the name.
[name]Katerina[/name] - I am wondering it if it is borderline “too plain” as a variant of the extremely popular [name]Catherine[/name] family. Plus I hate the nicknames [name]Kate[/name]/[name]Katie[/name] and want to avoid them, so I worry [name]Katerina[/name] would get them a lot.
Fell in love with Sansa recently. Discovered it through reading A Song of Ice and [name]Fire[/name], and she became my favourite character and favourite name. Sansa has spunk, yet beauty.
Also [name]Nadia[/name], because it’s just so pretty. I discovered it several years ago when I learned how to play the theme song to The [name]Young[/name] and The Restless, which is called “[name]Nadia[/name]'s Theme”. It grew on me since then.
And recently [name]Daphne[/name]'s been to my liking. I used to hate it, now I love it. I was on tumblr and saw a model named [name]Daphne[/name], and BAM, in love.
So I have a lot of new crushes. Most of them being Greek girly names. [name]Emmeleia[/name]/Emmelia - ([name]Emma[/name]-leah) This name is new to me. I found it when researching Greek Orthodox saints. I thought it was so girly and sweet, and bonus it’s Greek. With [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Emily[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] (I think) getting so popular, I think it fits right in with the trend and I’ve never met anyone with the name. I like it. [name]Thea[/name]- I’ve liked [name]Theodora[/name] for a while, and I think [name]Thea[/name] is a cute nickname. I wouldn’t use it on its own, but its so cute as a nickname for any [name]Thea[/name] name ([name]Althea[/name], [name]Anthea[/name], [name]Alethea[/name], [name]Dorothea[/name]…) I’m liking [name]Thea[/name] names now. [name]Zoe[/name]- This ones here to stay, I think. It has grown on me. I have a grandmother with this name, and I guess it dawned on me how beautiful it is (it means life, isn’t that awesome). Now I just have to worry that it doesn’t get any more popular. [name]Elina[/name]- My name is [name]Eleni[/name], and I think this is an awesome variation (its the Sweedish or Finnish variation of [name]Helen[/name], and [name]Eleni[/name] is the Greek version). I like that its related to my name without sounding exactly alike. And its so girly and pronouncable, which my name isn’t. [name]Eirene[/name]- I love this name! I’ve been hearing it all of my life, ([name]Eirene[/name] being a Greek Orthodox saint) and I guess I realized how beautiful it is. Its pronounced in Greek Eh-REEN-ee, and the meaning is beautiful ([name]Peace[/name]). Since I struggled with pronunciation issues my entire life, I probably would use [name]Irena[/name]/[name]Irina[/name] and call her [name]Eirene[/name], but IDK I’m a teenager and I’m not having kids for a while.
My only boy crush is [name]Percy[/name]- lets just say I’ve loved this name since reading [name]Percy[/name] [name]Jackson[/name] and the Olympians five years ago (I think). So I guess it just finally made its way on my list.
My new crush as of today is [name]Luna[/name] combo [name]Luna[/name] [name]Sage[/name].
I’m a huge HP fan so of course I love [name]Luna[/name] Lovegood! I also love Greek and roman names so this fits in with my style. This name seems so literary, romantic and spirited to me! In love!
[name]Coraline[/name] - I recently saw the movie which I didn’t really care for but I fell in love with the name.
@nomadia - I too love [name]Alberta[/name]. There was an actress named [name]Alberta[/name] [name]Watson[/name] who was in La Femme [name]Nikita[/name] and I fell in love with it but, alas, I live in [name]Alberta[/name] so it would be hugely corny for me to use. I hope you get to though!
Boys: [name]Mick[/name] and [name]Dalton[/name]. (No particular reason why. I just suddenly thought of them and am really loving them.)
Girls: [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Lilac[/name]. (Ironically, both are flower names. I love [name]Daisy[/name] mainly because if The Great [name]Gatsby[/name].)
Lately I can’t stop thinking about the names [name]Amabel[/name] and [name]Sabina[/name]. For some reason I find myself really attracted to a lot of names with ‘b’ in the middle.
[name]Celeste[/name] nn [name]Lettie[/name] or Etsy! I really hope i have another girl so that i can use it. I’m also crazy about [name]Sadie[/name] atm even though its not my style at all.
[name]Celia[/name]- I don’t know why I like it actually, its not a name I would usually pick
It was the name of the really nice/ditzy lady in the movie The Help! <3
[name]Raina[/name]
I first heard it on [name]America[/name]'s Next Top Model. It was the name of a contestant.
However, I wasn’t a name geek yet, so I didn’t really pay attention to it. Then, when I suddenly remembered it, it immediately jumped to the top of my list!
I used to be absolutely terrified of rain. Everytime a storm approached, I would cry.
Now I’m secretly happy when it rains.
