I had two friends involved in a bad accident today. I was with them after it happened but then I came home and just waited anxiously for news for hours. I was on my laptop and came on here and searched their names, [name]Chris[/name] and [name]Nick[/name]. [name]Christopher[/name] means “bearer of [name]Christ[/name]”, and [name]Chris[/name] was the one who was severely injured. The meaning gave me hope that he will pull through, to me it meant God is with him. (i just got the call that he will be ok!) [name]Nick[/name] was really emotionally scarred, and [name]Nicholas[/name] means “people of victory” which also made me hopeful. [name]Nick[/name] can emotionally get through this, he will be victorious. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but as I was stunned on my couch, it was some comfort. Does anyone else have experiences like this?
My story isn’t exactly like that, but my mom did choose my brother’s name for its meaning “healer” because she was in a horrible accident when she was pregnant with him. The doctors ended up saying that being pregnant probably helped her survive. My parents chose the name before they really understood how perfect it would be (her recovery was a long one).
That’s a great story!
I’ve never had an experience like that (or thought about it, really) but I’m sorry to hear of your friends’ accident. I hope they both make a full recovery- physically and emotionally!
thank you!
