When people use names you like on dogs: does it bother you?

Not really.

My current two dog names are: [name]Brandy[/name] (coat the color of the alcohol) and [name]Maia[/name] (was born in [name]Spring[/name]).

Previous dogs were named: [name]Teddy[/name] [name]Bear[/name], Outlaw, Scooby, Scrappy, Kaleo, [name]Echo[/name], & [name]Apollo[/name].

Previous cat name was: [name]Skylar[/name].

Only names I could not really get over was [name]Otis[/name] & [name]Milo[/name]. My family member wanted to name his child ______ [name]Milo[/name], and I couldn’t help associate it with that movie. He named him after another popular animal movie, but it seems to fit him nicely.

i don’t really see a problem with it and i certainly don’t think that giving people names to pets ruin a name in anyway. i think that “pet names” like Snowflake, [name]Lucky[/name], Blackjack, [name]Spike[/name] etc. are usually quite boring. i named my dog Mulder which is a probably not appropriate for a human, but i really do love the name. My sister and her boyfriend have a dog name [name]Delia[/name] which was his grandmothers name, i think its really cute and it fits the dog’s spunky personality perfectly. There are a lot of popular pet names that are also popular people names too… we’ve had a [name]Chance[/name], [name]Sadie[/name], [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Lucy[/name], and [name]Callie[/name]-- which could all be used on humans without a thought.

Not in the slightest! If I hear a name I love on a dog, I just think their owners have great taste in names! Dogs are members of the family, so I don’t think you can “waste” a name on your dog… they deserve beautiful names too
