When you have a daughter named Maxwell... what do you name a brother? a sister?

Some of you may know that [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name] recently revealed that she is pregnant again. She has a daughter named [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Drew[/name] “[name]Maxie[/name]”. My question is when you have a daughter with an ultra masculine name like [name]Maxwell[/name], what do you name another daughter? [name]Do[/name] you go super masculine again? Or uni-sex? You cannot go too feminine can you? And what about a son? [name]How[/name] do you distinguish girl from boy? Or do you not? What you think she should/will name her second child?

Hmm , right?!! It had crossed my mind when I first heard. I guess for a girl she would do a recently “approved” man turned little girl name like [name]Charlie[/name], or [name]Emerson[/name]… For a boy a harsh name for easy differential like [name]Ulysses[/name], [name]Ebenezer[/name]… But who knows lol

I think you could go anyway. Either girly or masculine.

Well the nn is [name]Maxie[/name], which is a bit girlier, so I reckon it will be another unisex/masculine name with a cuter nn for a girl. As for a boy, no idea what to suggest. [name]How[/name] can you distinguish a boys name on a boy and a boys name on a girl? But the name would probably be masculine without a nn, so the girls would be [name]Maxie[/name], etc and the boys something longer and stronger sounding and not shortened. Maybe? I have no idea why she named a girl [name]Maxwell[/name] in the first place. Unisex is one thing but that is pushing it. Why couldn’t she stick with [name]Maxie[/name] or [name]Maxine[/name] instead.?

My bet is [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Cole[/name] if it’s a boy.

I thought she revealed [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Drew[/name] was a family name, so my guess would be another family name. I could also see her going with something like [name]Rebel[/name], [name]Gunner[/name], or [name]Maverick[/name] if its a boy. Something athletic and cowboyish.

Since both [name]Maxwell[/name] and [name]Drew[/name] are family surnames (those of [name]Jessica[/name]'s mother and her husband’s grandmother), I could see them looking the family tree for names of similar style.

[name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name]'s ancestry is online. Here are some interesting names in her family tree:

  • Truett
  • [name]Belle[/name]
  • [name]Grady[/name]
  • Tululah
  • [name]Valentine[/name]

Otherwise I can see them picking something southern, surnamey, and unique: [name]Miller[/name], [name]Elliot[/name], [name]Sawyer[/name], [name]Mason[/name]?
