When you hear these sibling names...

…what do you think of?

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m], with nicknames [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_m]Eddie[/name_m].

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think of Twilight? I have never seen the movie or read the books, but we have a little girl named [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and are looking for a name for our son, due in [name_u]March[/name_u]. A name my husband and I both like is [name_m]Eddie[/name_m], and while he really likes [name_m]Edward[/name_m], I prefer [name_m]Edmon[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], and [name_m]Edwin[/name_m].

Of course while researching names I found out that these are names of Twilight characters.

Being that we’d primarily call the kids [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_m]Eddie[/name_m], do you think the Twilight connection is anything to be concerned about? If you heard those names is that what you would think of? Should we even care? (My husband says no—he said it’s not like we’re naming them [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] lol)

And while I’m getting your guys’ feedback, what are your thoughts on [name_m]Edmon[/name_m]? It’s not common, but I like that it’s not as clunky as [name_m]Edmund[/name_m].

Thanks in advance! I appreciate your input.

I straight away thought of twilight. I dont know if its a bad thing but they aren’t the most liked movies anymore.

With [name_m]Edmon[/name_m] or any other [name_m]Ed[/name_m]- name, I think people wull associate the names with twilight.

I think [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_m]Edmon[/name_m]/[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] make a better sibset than [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m], actually, though that may just be because I adore [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] :). I think they’re lovely, individually and together!

Yes, my first thought was of Twilight but the association isn’t that strong (nor what I’d personally consider positive) - the franchise isn’t big anymore and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m] are lovely names in their own right. And, like your husband said, it’s not like your using [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].

I don’t think of Twilight. I think they’re great names and a great sibset!

I love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]. Would you consider a different nickname such as [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] or [name_m]Mundo[/name_m]?

I think they sound nice together! I don’t think of twilight, but I’ve never seen the trilogy lol. I do prefer [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] over [name_m]Edward[/name_m] though.
