[name_m]Hi[/name_m] guys, I’ve been struggling with motivation to write recently so I wanted to ask where you find inspiration for your projects! [name_f]My[/name_f] main source is music but lately I’ve been feeling more uninspired than usual.
[name_f][/name_f]I think this could be helpful for anyone else struggling with writer’s block atm 
Sometimes I look at blurbs on Goodreads. Obviously I don’t copy an entire story, but I like to take a little detail from one book and another detail from another and sort of Frankenstein together a new idea. Looking at books in your favorite genres can also give you ideas of popular tropes or trends within it.

I get inspiration from tons of places! Books, movies, tv shows, aesthetic photos on Pinterest, paintings. [name_m]Even[/name_m] looking at writing prompts can really help! You should try going for a walk or something and thinking about what tropes or concepts you love or find fascinating, and then try to put your own unique twist on it.

Usually my inspiration comes at random. Something someone’s said around me or even just a simple word will give me a totally random idea and I go off of that. But sometimes my brain will think of something totally random on its own and bam an idea. Other times it takes more to make my brain to get an idea. Which if it does take more, inspiration for me will come from YouTube videos of my favorite cosplayers or music videos from my favorite artists (usually kpop) and sometimes music, books, tv shows, movies, quotes and Pinterest will help. Sometimes I’ll even get ideas from walking through a cemetery and stop to look at headstones and imagine what that certain person’s life was like and get inspiration from that. Sometimes even a random name will give me inspiration. It all depends for me. But really my inspiration typically comes from headstones in cemeteries, random things said to me, YouTube vids of MVs from kpop artists or cosplayers, or a random names
