[name_f]Summer[/name_f]

[name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] - means sun’s gift, with nickname [name_f]Iva[/name_f] ([name_f]Eva[/name_f]) or [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]
[name_f]Sunniva[/name_f]! I think it’s prettier, it’s not a word name, and it’s way less common . And I really like the nickname [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]
I think [name_f]Summer[/name_f] is cute too though, it may have sounded like I was negative to [name_f]Summer[/name_f]
Both are pretty but I really love [name_f]Summer[/name_f]. I have always liked it and whilst it is more popular than [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f], I have met two Sunnivas and no [name_f]Summers[/name_f]! I could never really find a nickname for it thought but I did read in a book of a girl named [name_f]Summer[/name_f] who went by [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] and thought that was cute.
[name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] is gorgeous, unique but on trend! I love the bright connotation, the stylish “v” sound and the wonderful nickname options.
[name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] wins for me.
[name_f]Summer[/name_f] is my favourite, hands down! It’s so cheery and friendly sounding, I adore it.
My first thought was son-of-a when I saw [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] but then saw it’s pronounced Soon-eva but then queried the sunny nn. Probably because of this, I prefer the fresh and happy [name_f]Summer[/name_f] - but if I were more familiar with [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f], I might be on board! Still think I’d pick [name_f]Summer[/name_f] but may be a closer call.
[name_f]Sunniva[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] is more timeless, unique, and intriguing. It has an element of calmness and mystique that I am drawn to, and the sheer variety of sounds is really attractive. I’ve never met a [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f], but I’d love to!
I prefer [name_f]Summer[/name_f].
I had never heard of the name [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] (a Norwegian name), only of the variant Sønnøve, so at first I liked [name_f]Summer[/name_f] the most - partly because of the familiarity, but the more I think about it, I like [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f], too. I think it’s one of those names that grow on you.
I think I like both, but it all depends on the name or names it would go together with.
If it was a name for myself I would choose [name_f]Summer[/name_f].
