Sorry, neither. Either would work as a middle name but I just can’t see a little guy with one of these as a first name.

I didn’t vote because I don’t think they’re appropriate for a child’s first name.

Neither are my style, but I think [name]Bear[/name]/[name]Baer[/name] is usable. I really don’t like [name]Fox[/name]. [name]Baer[/name] is really nice actually. It reminds me of Professor [name]Baer[/name] in [name]Little[/name] Women – nice connection and it makes the name sound less like an animal name.
I think if you really want to use an animal name, it is best used as a middle name with a professional, normal, first name. Then your son can decide which name he wants to go by.

I think either would make a really cool MIDDLE name. I prefer [name]Fox[/name].

I really don’t think either would be a suitable first name, but both would make a really awesome middle. [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Fox[/name] = PURE COOLNESS

Not really either in my opinion. [name]Baer[/name] I might pronounce Bayer. It’s confusing. [name]Bear[/name] is the term used for a big, rugged, hairy gay man in the gay community. I think a boy named [name]Bear[/name] would definetly get teased for that in high school. [name]Fox[/name] is an outdated term for someone whose sexy…like a stone cold fox. So that could have teasing potential. Also foxes are thought of as crafty/tricky traditionally.

I guess if I had to pick I would go for [name]Fox[/name].

I like [name]Fox[/name]. [name]Bear[/name] just reminds me of like a burly football player’s nickname, or [name]Bear[/name] Grylls. It doesn’t really fit, say, a doctor or a sensitive artist type, you know? But I think [name]Fox[/name] is an absolutely adorable name. And if you decided not to use it as a first name, you could definitely use it as a middle name and call him that.

I also think either one would be better in the middle spot. This is partly because I simply don’t have the guts to use it  If you do and don’t think he will be teased then I say go for it.

I love them both- who’s surprised?! LoL!! I used bear on my puppy bc husband would never go for it. I have considered trying to convince my husband of [name]Fox[/name]… My maiden name is [name]Knox[/name] so I was going to use the angle of it being a spin off of that.

Everyone always uses the alternate spelling [name]Baer[/name] but if I were to use an alternate spelling I would choose Behr

I voted for [name]Bear[/name].

I don’t know that I would actually ever use these as a first name but it is worth hearing what people think. I do think I would be more likely to put it in the middle spot just because although I like the names, not sure I would ever be brave enough or sure enough to make my child’ formal name.

As a side note, I knew of a guy named [name]Dov[/name] and I actually thought it was quite handsome
