I love them all. And [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], [name_f]Arietta[/name_f] and [name_f]Ariella[/name_f].

I went with Arienne though :slight_smile: Very pretty.

[name_f]Ariane[/name_f] (not on your poll) is the [name_m]French[/name_m] version so that would be my favourite “[name_u]Ari[/name_u]” name. If the name wasn’t so similar to the group [name_m]Aryan[/name_m] Nation (a white supremicist group) and to Hitler’s ideology of having a pure whilte [name_m]Aryan[/name_m] race, I would find it even more attractive.

I voted [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f], basically because I do worry about @mischa’s [name_m]Aryan[/name_m] comment. [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] (air-ee-ann) is my second favorite girls’ name, and I adore it, but I worry that Arienne is just way too close. I’m afraid people would mispronounce it as [name_m]Aryan[/name_m] all the time. Arienne’s the closest to [name_f]Arianne[/name_f], so I wanted to vote for it, but for actual use, [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] gets my vote. I adore [name_u]Ari[/name_u] names, though, and would love to add [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Aurore[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Arielle[/name_f], [name_f]Ariella[/name_f] ([name_f]ARIELLA[/name_f]!), [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], and [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] (especially [name_f]Arianne[/name_f]!) to this list. [name_f]Arianne[/name_f], [name_f]Ariella[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f], and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] are my favorite [name_u]Ari[/name_u] names, probably in that order. I knew someone who had [name_f]Arietta[/name_f] [name_f]Irisa[/name_f] on her list, years ago, and I always thought [name_f]Arietta[/name_f] would be beautiful, as well!

Yeah these names are definitely safer over here.* I guess we’re lucky that we pronounce them ‘arry’ rather than ‘airy’ :slight_smile:

*Save for [name_f]Arianwen[/name_f] as that’s definitely an ‘arry’ name. Saying it any other way would be incorrect.

@scgogirl - I like [name_f]Arianne[/name_f], but prefer Arienne.

@renrose - Thanks, [name_f]Arietta[/name_f] is gorgeous!! But I would personally use [name_f]Arrietty[/name_f] over [name_f]Arietta[/name_f] because of my love of The Borrowers.

@mischa - I do worry that Arienne is a little close to the [name_m]Aryan[/name_m] race connotations, however in my accent Arienne is quite different to [name_m]Aryan[/name_m], and they look significantly different too.

@ashthedreamer - I absolutely adore Aurélie, she is on my list and I think she’s gorgeous, however I don’t think I could realistically use the name as in most accents it just sounds like orally :frowning:

I agree with other berries, unfortunately every “arian” name makes me think of Hitler’s ideology.

I voted for [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f], it may be difficult to pronounce, but it’s gorgeous!

I love [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f], it got my vote. But [name_f]Arianwen[/name_f] is also pretty and seems to hold more significance to you so I would go with that.
