I like both, and [name_m]Ben[/name_m] is the sweetest nickname. I suppose if I had to choose today I would go with [name_u]Bennett[/name_u]. Have you considered [name_m]Benedict[/name_m]? It’s a little less overdone if that concerns you
I prefer [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] (or Bennet) personally. I just like the sound better, and I feel like [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] is overused at this point. Still, [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] is a classic, so you can’t go wrong with it.
[name_u]Bentley[/name_u] was actually the first name that I thought of when I saw the nn [name_m]Ben[/name_m] - however [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] is one of my top 3 boys names so I would have to go with that one over [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] (though that’s cute too) If I ever name my son [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] I was planning on using [name_m]Benji[/name_m] as a nn because it is a little more uncommon compared to the usual Ben/Benjamin
I want to love [name_m]Benedict[/name_m], but it unfortunately makes me think of all those dumb nicknames people would come up with for [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] Cumberbatch and that’s totally ruined it for me.
I love the name [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], but [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] is wonderful too. I adore the sweet sound of [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] and the nickname [name_m]Benji[/name_m].
I prefer Benjamin’s softer sounds; I also like the nicknames [name_m]Ben[/name_m] and [name_m]Benji[/name_m]! [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] is a fun choice as well.
[name_u]Bennett[/name_u] is nice. But [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] is just such a beautiful classic. It’s super popular, but most Benjamins go by [name_m]Ben[/name_m]. If you plan on using the nn [name_m]Ben[/name_m] (which is the sweetest!), your [name_m]Ben[/name_m] may be one of a few anyway. I also like a few less obvious ‘Ben’ names like [name_m]Aubin[/name_m], [name_m]Bernard[/name_m], [name_m]Eben[/name_m] & Esben.
Both are nice, but I am going [name_u]Bennett[/name_u]. I like the reminder of Pride and Prejudice, and I love a good -ett name. I adore [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], and would probably feel different if there weren’t already a [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] in the family.
If you’re looking for other options, Benoit/Benoît is my favorite [name_m]Ben[/name_m] name. I also love [name_m]Benedict[/name_m], [name_m]Benedetto[/name_m], [name_m]Reuben[/name_m], etc., too!
