Which Boo- name? And why?

I know there’s a similar thread out there somewhere that I posted, but I’m at another stalemate, and I just can’t decide which one should get the last spot on my short list.

Between [name]Booker[/name] and [name]Boone[/name], which is your favorite? Ignoring the teasing potential (I’m aware), which appeals to you more? I thought maybe hearing why people like whichever they like would help push me in one direction or the other.

Thanks, ladies!

I much prefer [name]Boone[/name] to [name]Booker[/name]. I actually know a boy named [name]Boone[/name]…he’s about to be 14. I have to admit that I wasn’t crazy about it when his mom named him that (we were still in HS when he was born) but it grew on me over the years. His name is [name]Boone[/name] [name]Caleb[/name]. [name]Booker[/name], to me is very nicknamey, and makes me think of [name]George[/name] Clooneys character from [name]Roseanne[/name] or [name]Booker[/name] T the wrestler.

I prefer [name]Booker[/name].

But I’m a bibliophile and the idea of having book in my name is extremely appealing. I also love [name]Reid[/name] for the same reason

[name]Boone[/name] isn’t terrible, just reminds me of [name]Daniel[/name] [name]Boone[/name]. Also it sounds more like booing than [name]Booker[/name] does, to me at least.

Neither of these are really my style, so I’m not sure I’ll be any help, but to me it really depends on the last name since they both have such different sounds. [name]One[/name] would probably sound better than the other, I would think. Not knowing that, I’d vote for [name]Booker[/name] … though I can’t really pinpoint why. I just like the sound of it better – a little stronger sound maybe?

I love [name]Boone[/name]. i love the handsome sound and the connection to the word [name]Boon[/name] and the old world meaning of favor…like “[name]Grant[/name] me this boon.”

[name]Boone[/name] gets my vote. I think it has a friendlier sound and seems more versatile.

I agree with Dantea- [name]Boone[/name] has a upbeat, positive sound and gets my vote.

I would go for [name]Boone[/name] between those 2 picks

[name]Booker[/name] sounds like “booger” to me, so I say [name]Boone[/name]…

[name]Love[/name] [name]Booker[/name], hate [name]Boone[/name] by association. You should have put up a poll!!

Have to go with [name]Boone[/name]. It goes on and off my list too. It is rugged, handsome and upbeat!

I like [name]Booker[/name] because it makes me think of [name]Booker[/name] T. [name]Washington[/name]. It has a nice sound to it!

I actually prefer [name]Booker[/name], though that one might have more teasing potential than [name]Boone[/name]… I just like the sound better.

Definitily [name]Boone[/name]! It has a laid-back surfer vibe. Also makes me think [name]Ian[/name] Somelhalder’s character in Lost, who was a solid (and very attractive) character. [name]Booker[/name] sounds really made up to me, and I agree it does sound a lot like Booger, which (leaving out the teasing) could be very awkward meeting someone (“I’m [name]Booker[/name]” “Booger??” “No, BOOK-er” “Oh…”)

All around I just prefer the name [name]Boone[/name].

I wanna like [name]Booker[/name], but all I can think of is book her. [name]Count[/name] me with the [name]Boone[/name]'s! I really like [name]Boone[/name].

i prefer booker, i’m not sure why. it just sounds less country to me. i’m not sure why, but boone sounds like a redneck name! i’m sorry if that’s offensive.

I’m amused that this keeps coming back. For now I’m sticking with [name]Boone[/name], but I think I actually prefer [name]Booker[/name] in reality–I’m just not sure how usable it is, and I like [name]Boone[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name] [name]Leo[/name] better as a combo. I know [name]Boone[/name] comes with the boondocks sort of image, but I also love that it comes with the [name]Daniel[/name] [name]Boone[/name] connection, too, which is the whole appeal for me.

Personally, I prefer [name]Boone[/name]. I want you to be aware, however, the only reason I find it attractive is because [name]Boone[/name] was a charcter from [name]Season[/name] one of Lost.

I vote for [name]Boone[/name]; it flows nicely off the tongue. [name]Booker[/name] isn’t bad, but sounds more like an occupation to me. I also thinking of that 80s slang term: “he was bookin’ out of there so fast!”
